A simple video playthrough of all amps (played through at default settings), and then I go back through the amps in reverse order, digging a bit deeper and tweaking some controls of each model...

Yep, absolutely. There are many fantastic tones to be had here, it's a tone machine for sure. The fact it's possible to load NAM files is fantastic too. Being able to load such accurate captures of my own amp and pedals, plus the 1000s of others on Tonehunt, is a dream.

Do you take any special precautions when doing your own captures? I have a couple semi-old amps I'd like to cap before relieving myself of them. Just wondering if you use acoustic treatment or whether that's necessary based on how it works.dmcsweeney wrote: Mon Oct 02, 2023 12:24 pm Yep, absolutely. That actually leads me to a question: does anyone think Klippel technology would be useful in cabinet modelling? It seems to be the state-of-the-art for objectively measuring loudspeakers but I've never heard of anyone using one for that purpose. The idea is you get a mic-and-room-independent (mostly) 360deg capture of the speaker then perhaps use that to create a digital physical model. I know IK Multimedia has promotional material using automated mic-moving robots and Audio Test Kitchen, along with Harman who is big in this super-analytical stuff, uses high levels of accuracy and repeatability. I'd test this myself but I haven't a clue how nor can I presently afford a Klippel much less have a place to put it. Promising concept or wrong tree to bark up?

Great job. I was too lazy to do this myself. I think you did a great job showing the general character of each amp.
