An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

DPW Zero-2, and some short braided patch cables.
I started a patch this morning that I don't want to disrupt until I get a chance to record a session tonight, so I'll rack the module later.

Oh, that's a neat idea. I'm gonna see if I can replicate that with an NCOM and a DUSG.

In theory, I think I would rather have jacks for all the ins/outs of the comparator and D flip-flop available (but normalled the way they are, with !Q to D and A=B to clock). But in practice I'm pretty sure their design will let me cover most, and possibly even 100% of what I would want to do with it anyway.
I've been awkwardly using one of the switches on my A150-1 as a comparator by offsetting the CV input, but that's not ideal.

I'm definitely interested in hearing your thoughts on this after you get into it.elxsound wrote: Wed Sep 27, 2023 9:45 pm Sonic Liven LoFi 6.![]()
Somehow couldn’t walk away from this… it’s very limited intentionally, including being a limited edition, likely because they know it won’t be massively popular.
Still, something seems fun about it. I might kick myself later for getting it after trying to minimize my options.
I think it’s got some nice character and should be fun. I hope.

I'm always using a bipolar mixer and a VC switch as a comparator in euroland because I'm using most of the other modules which can do that, for something else.foosnark wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 8:26 pm I've been awkwardly using one of the switches on my A150-1 as a comparator by offsetting the CV input, but that's not ideal.
I've gotten in a bad habit of patching little utilities on the Serge as part of a larger voice or modulation patch, then hesitate anytime I want to take that sub-patch apart to use the modules for something else.

So, wasn't really planning on buying anything right now but just on a whim looked on reverb and saw an 0-coast at a very good price so it's on the way. Sadly I'm in one of my phases where I'm not making any music at all, but the price was too good.

I completed my small SynthFox modular with this Ebb and Flow module.

An interesting take on the dual function generator + analog logic combo.

I'm thinking about replacing my FM Aid, since I have a whole bunch of very FM-capable oscillators, plus Koszalin if I want to do it externally, and I don't need it for wavefolding or other waveshaping duties either.
That leaves me with 11HP free, just slightly too small for Sledgehammer

Just need a way to adapt farcaster portals (as outlined in the Hyperion Cantos) for use in modular rigs and we'll be able to fit literally every module ever made into an 3u 84 hp rack. Simultaneously.

Looks like Tesseract Modular may soon be flogging a cheaper version of the Instruo DivKid Ochd, but only place I see it currently is modulargrid for a reported £85. Not listed in shops as yet.

This controller looks really interesting, £145 seems a lot at first for what looks like a small 4hp touchstrip but seems to have a bunch of useful modes, not least a looping CV recorder that will recall up to 75 seconds plus gives you a visual display of the levels.

I have a Gliss. It suffers a bit from packing too many features in and needing a cheat sheet to remember how to set various modes, but I like it a lot as a basic controller, and the CV recorder in auto looping mode is really fun.

that’s definitely the headline feature for me
