How to Use MAutoVolume

I have separate vocal tracks all routed to a mix buss. Should I place MAutoVolume on each track or place on the mix buss? Should it 1st or last in the signal chain?

1) It depends if you want to volume ride the single track or the composite of all the vocals
2) I would put it first in the chain, so that reverbs, delays and other "ambience" effects aren't "ridden" by AutoVolume; again though,it depends on what result you're after... (maybe you could want AutoVolume to ride also the effect tails for example....)

I wouldn't overdo it. Use it on vocals and bass, which need sort of a constant loudness, but that's it imho.

Right, that's what I meant. Put it on each vocal track instead of putting it on the vocal bus. Not on every track in the project
