Is there any way to have Patchworks scan all the plugins in a directory?

It's a nightmare trying to search thru Waves Audio bundle files for the plugin I need. It's also a night mare trying to find other plugins when I own hundreds.

Is there any way to scan and search for plugins in Patchworks?? Like a plugin browser or something??

Not at the moment. But once you have loaded a plug-in once, you cans save it as a favorite (using the "Save As" menu item) and it will appear in the menu.

Please Keep me updated when you create a way to scan VST/VST3 and then a plugin browser that lets you type in partial name of the plugin and it finds in it in a list.

Don't Crack is a authorized dealer of your plugins, right?

I'm just going to have to wait to have you add that feature before I buy it. I've been burnt before by developers promising to do something, buy it, and they never add the feature. Not saying you won't, just saying I've been burnt trusting others.

Also, when you update, do I need to uninstall for the updated DEMO plugin or just install over it?

Yes, dontcrack is an authorized dealer, no problem. Definitely not promising anything here, just stating tat it is currently not available. It may be added in the future at some point, but I cannot say for sure.

Once you have installed the demo you can install the full version over it, it will replace it.

Is there any update to my question?

With that said, I hope you'll give the love to MB-7? Cause I thinking I'm leaning towards it, and debating on just getting the crafters pack because I've been talking and thinking about patchworks and plugin script for 2 years now. ... But I've never thought about your other plugins until recently. You can thank ChatGPT as it has me realize how unique MB-7 really is... I can't wait this this weekend to try it out!

I just bought MB-7 Mixer a few minutes ago.

I really do hope you add this feature to mb-7!

If you happen to add it to any of your other plug-ins, please let me know.

For sure when it gets into one of the plug-ins hosts it will be added to all.

June 17... 2025.. updates?

I'd love an update to this.
Having delved *very* deeply into the BlueCat ecosystem this holiday, as I love the rest of the functionality and how things are much nicer than many other plugins, the *ONE* issue I have is the awful mechanism for selecting external plugins (okay, maybe the MIDI routing as well, but that's already well discussed).

I do appreciate that each can be saved, once loaded, but it would be extra nice - even if just an optional process - if all the 'standard' locations could be scanned and put into user presets, organised by whatever default plugin metadata is available.
A manager would be nice, but even if we have to manually move the metadata to different folders, that would be fine.
I would look to write my own 'scanner' but the XML has a lot of info that is obviously proprietary.

(Also, with this, it would be nice to be able to set where the user plugin meta/presets are actually stored, and for the plugins meta to be able to be shared between all BlueCat plugins rather than plugin-specific directories as it seems to be right now.
I would like to save this sort of metadata along with my projects and other data on a different drive, so I have backups more easily)

There is so much to love about the plugins - being able to host 3rd-party plugins in the amazing Late Replies, and MB-7 is so good. This would just be such a quality of life upgrade.

FYI, some progress is currently being made on this topic!

I hope this can be turned off.

Ok, I can't delete posts. So, yes, it's optional :)

Yes it's fully optional and not automatic upon launch. It's all safe! :-)
