One can not have too many delays.
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Speaking of feedback I'm thinking of letting go of my jroo Loop, which doesn't honestly get that much use.
I've been missing my Zorlon Cannon, and I don't expect to ever find one again (certainly not for a reasonable price -- someone's trying to sell their mk1 for $1000
) But I've been looking into the Turing Machine, and between DivKid, Mylar Melodies and the VCV Rack version that I've now been playing with literally for hours... I think I have to have one plus the Volts and Pulses expanders. I can get some of that Zorlon flavor by mixing different outputs from Pulses...
Pretty sure I'll go for the After Later Audio version since it's smallest but doesn't look too crowded, and also cheapest (if I don't want to DIY, and I don't). Grayscale Permutation looks the coolest and has the nicest knobs, but I don't really think I need its extra features and I'd rather have the combined pulse outputs that it lacks.

2hp make a minimalist Turing machine. I use one of the Hemispheres firmware apps (Enigma Jr) on my Ornament and Crime though it’s not exactly the same as the Turing machine.

I saw a ZCmk2 for around $400 recently. I almost grabbed it myself. But I have too many shift register based modules already.foosnark wrote: Tue Oct 03, 2023 3:55 pm

I kinda prefer the Noise Ring to the Turing Machine but I have and use both frequently. I also have Omiindustriies Cascading Register and Synthfox's Shift Core Register.
Currently Noise Ring and the Shift Core Register are my favorites for Rungler-like patches but for loopable pseudo-random sequences, I usually go for the Turing Machine or Cascading Register. Each one has a feature or two that the others don't.

Not the same as a Turing Machine I know but I have got my eye on the After Later Audio Steps..WatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue Oct 03, 2023 5:38 pm 2hp make a minimalist Turing machine.
