It is possible to revoke a license with iLok and while I never heard of a company actually doing that, if anyone would it would be Soundtheory.

It's rare but it does happen. I had that happen to me once with Initial Audio.

Right click the highlighted link in the previous post and select SAVE AS. Then it works. For me, and I assume for you, when you left click it, it goes back to the same page.

Although I was under the impression it was regularly free (i.e part of the downloads for most issues), though as the post above says, the version they ship with the magazine has issues.

I wonder if its the version with the bug. Yep, an erratic VU meter was my past issue.

This is version 1.0.3 from October 2022.
The issues mentioned in the Gearspace thread were related to v. 1.0.2.

So the issues with the vu-meter might be fixed in this version. I haven’t checked it yet, though.

Odd. For me the download started directly by just left clicking the link in the post.

Thanks for sharing the workaround for those having issues with the download link.

When I tried to pay $50, it didn't work, as I don't have a US credit card or US Paypal.
Instead, I had to pay Fastspring... €60 ($63,08).

On top of that, $25 (+ currency exchange fee), for PACE.
(it's always the legit customers who are hindered by copyright protection, and pay for the privilege)

I transferred the licence using the iLok Manager tool, and got this email:

PACE wrote:This is a notification about a license transfer that you requested. One of your licenses requires publisher approval before it can be transferred to another person's account. You will receive another email to inform you when the transfer of this license is either approved or denied.

The licence is gone from my account, and presumably in limbo, until Soundtheory takes action
