i didn't notice any posts about 16.09a, especially about MSoundFactory, the new possibilities in Sampler; time stretch, and Tonal/Noise seperation, etc.

it is in the release notes that this already can give a lot of experimentation, and i expect more possibilities will come (Tonal/Noise seperation seems to me Spectral... well it is.. correct me if i am wrong).

i made a simple preset, and didn't use MPE, which i normally do, and also used the Granular Sampler in a very simple way.

it gives with one preset, already a full experience.

the time-stretch, or better, when set to one, means of course, the same speed for every key/pitch.
is it already perfect, i don't know.

well TL;DR, but it can lead to this (it is my own style, i know, but hey! that is me...);

I haven't been using the sampler and didn't know it had a granular engine - that's pretty cool. Even though I've been hankering to try Roland Cloud, it's probably better to hold off since I have my hands full with MSF (alone) and Surge XT.

You and Mccy love the bleeding edge! I didn't even know there was a beta available. Just wondering what the hell dey doin over dere.

It's actually not spectral, it is sort of granular indeed and it sounds unbelievable for most monophonic tonal instruments. It's designed for real instruments though. It's not really for percussive stuff for example as there's no "tonal" part. But experimentally you can do anything of course :)

the tonal/noise part threw me of, while the parameters settings seem to be more granular...

i think my desire for a spectral sampler is very big....
