That happens quite a bit. Usually just a simple clerical error.
But they have honored and delivered some of the licenses so it's not exactly an error. It was part of the "pay only 13% bargains" so if it's an error then someone forgot their calculator that day.
I think they just seriously miscalculated the interest these deals would generate and that's on them. Being a well established vendor should put you in the position to have seen this coming.
As others have mentioned they may just be waiting for TAL to deliver more licenses and if that's the case it's not on Audio Deluxe but on TAL. Again it's 2023, we're not sending codes by snail mail.
So I think it's way too early to vilify either AD or TAl at this point. I don't think it's a matter of being evil just not thinking things through first.
