Loading Samples Into the Grid.

There is a procedure that has been bothering me. When we work with any sample, especially when we move the sample through the Grid (or Split), Waveform performs a render. A "Rendering...X%" a message appears in the footer. You need to wait a few seconds. Is there any way to remove this procedure? Thanks.

IS it the rendering of the waveform in the audio clip? Go to Settings -> Appearance -> Clips and there are a couple of relevant settings. You can turn off hi-res waveforms and you can turn off waveforms completely.

If you are copying the sample (which you should) rather than working on it directly (which you should not), then it may take a while depending on the size of the file and your computer's current state (whether or not it is busy also doing something else). So maybe you should not worry so much about it. It's not something you do often so it won't really cost you time and better be safe than sorry.
