Clip Envelope in MSF?

Is there an easy way to create a clipping envelope in MSF? I mean an envelope that simply clips the waveform to the desired level instead of multiplying it?

Basically, I would need a clipper that lets me modulate the threshold down to -infinity in the generator section. Am I missing something, or is it not possible?

Well, there's a gazillion ways to do that, e.g. waveshaper.

Sorry if I'm being stupid, but I can't figure out how to assign the waveshaper points to a per-voice modulator. How can I modulate the waveshaper per voice?

Could you maybe point out a few of the other ways? I'm always impressed when I discover new ways to do things in MSF. Thanks.

Well, you can't assign waveshaper points - you didn't say anything about thaty, you asked for a clipper :)
Another way you are going to love :) - math module in "limit" mode.
Another would be a saturator - just set the threshold to maximum.

How can I modulate the clipping threshold in the waveshaper without modulating the points?

When I set the threshold to the maximum, it doesn't seem to do anything. The transformation curve becomes straight line.

That works, but unfortunately not with per voice modulation.

Maybe this illustration will help to explain what I'm looking for.

The oscillator shape is a pure sine wave, and I want to chop of the waveform instead of attenuating it. Preferably per voice.

With the waveshaper, it would look like this, only per voice if possible.

Thanks for your help :)

Aaaah, sorry, quick reading :)

Yes, but it IS clipping (unless the clipping is disabled).

Aaaha, I guess I'll add a clipper to todo list. That could get handy after all...

I guess I didn't explain what I was looking for in my first post very well.

Thanks. I look forward to it.
