Can you trigger track modifiers on/off?

If I have an LFO Modifier assigned to the track volume or any other parameter but I only want it modulated during certain parts if the song, is there a way to turn it on and off? I see it can be set to run Free, Transport or Note but Note only seems to re-trigger the LFO cycle.
Right now I just cut out the parts of the track I want modulated and put those an a second track with the LFO Modifier.
Thanks for any solutions.

I'm not sure--I've only used modifiers a couple times and never automated them.
Worst case, I suppose I might put a modifier on a new track. Then, put a send on the track I want to effect and a return on the modifier. Then I can automate the send/return to my heart's content. That's fairly old-school and pretty close to how you solved it. But you'd think there'd be a simple on/off toggle on a modifier.

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

With WF12Pro you can use the A-B switch inside a rack.
Create a rack containing the A-B switch, a volume&pan plugin, and a LFO to control the volume. The switch allows you to create two different plugin/effect chains. Its MODE parameter can be assogbed to an automation track.

You can choose the LFO modifier automation using the "A" letter icon on the right side of the track.

Hehe. You're welcome. You can go even further – I always forget about the killer feature: the "A" letter icon is draggable! You can drag the icon over a device you want to automate, and it shows all parameters available.
