Thanks for your reply.
I’m a long-time user of u-he synths, which I love. Accordingly, I already went through the user guide. I also tried every combination I could think of to link the Output knob to a controller (option, command, control etc.). The knob does highlight but moving the controller (cc11) doesn’t do anything — it doesn’t link or move.
Right-clicking the Output knob only gives the option to change the scale.
I also tried deleting the existing controller links. Unfortunately, that is something of a catastrophe because it deletes ALL existing links for every patch in Diva.
And because those global cc links are channel-specific, if you have, say, 20-30 instances of Diva, you can only control one at a time.
Any further suggestions welcome — thank you.

It can take long to troubleshoot such things via this forum, please send an email to support[at]u-he.com, thanks!

And a tip for troubleshooting.
There is a quick way to eliminate the plugin as the source of the problem.
Right next to the Diva logo, there is a MIDI Activity led.
If it does not blink while you turn your physical MIDI controller knob, then the plugin isn't receiving those MIDI messages.
This means it's either a problem of the host configuration, your project setup or the MIDI controller, and you can stop trying to search for the solution inside the plugin.

Hi all,
Resurrecting this thread here. Having some issues that I would love some help with. I'm trying to modulate CC messages to DIVA from an external sequencer (a Cirklon).
I can map any parameters in DIVA inside Ableton to my midi controller no worries. To do this, using the Frequency parameter in DIVA as an example, I:

Unfortauntely, when I then modulate CC#1 using my Cirklon, it has no effect in DIVA. My guess is that I need to map the CC parameters inside DIVA itself. I have read the user guide, and understand the MIDI learn function - unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work for me. When I select a parameter and move a knob on my midi controller, nothing changes.
Anyone experience the same? If so, what kind of work-arounds / solutions have you arrived at.
Many thanks!

- Click configure on the DIVA plugin,
- Click the desired parameter inside DIVA
- Return to Ableton,
- CTRL+M,
- Click the slider in the configured plugin
- Move the fader / knob on my midi controller

For anyone interested, I've figured this out. You do need to do the mapping internally in DIVA to allow the Cirklon to modulate.
I couldn't get the above to work. In the MIDI table however, you can adjust the CC number. I thought it was fixed, I tried clicking on the box to type in the CC number I wished to assign. It's not clear, but you have to click and drag up or down to change the CC number. Result below! Success!

If you use the MIDI learn page to assign MIDI CCs, you won't have to adjust the CC number manually on the MIDI table page.
And I see you are using a very old, long outdated version of Diva. Maybe worth updating to the latest version 1.4.6.
