Feature(s) which keep MuLab from being your primary DAW?

While truly appreciating CLAP; I also have to state that VST3 is getting more and more important as time goes by. Right now there are quite a few I cannot use, as new Developers dont get a VST2 - License from Steinberg anymore (for quite some time now actually).
These Circumstances will not change and there will be more and more Plugins not making it into MuLab that way.

+1 for VST3 - Support.

To add my hopes for MuLab, I'd like to see more advanced time signature handling (the ability to type in the time signature and to have multiple time signatures per project) and more features added to the MIDI editor. Tools like slicing/painting notes, a visual indicator on the piano keyboard note as to where the mouse pointer is, ghost notes/automation etc.

One thing to note when developing VST3 support: Steinberg Halion7 crashes many plugin hosts (including Blue Cat's Patchwork), e.g. Plugin Guru Unify fixed it in May 2023 (ver. 1.10.0) according to their changelog: "Avoid crashing when loading plug-ins like Steinberg HALion 7, which enumerate with 0 outputs".

Midi slice would be probably all that is needed. A midi knife or pencil tool. Whilst the other features are nice and some daws like waveform and fl studio have a lot of midi tools just being able to cut up midi with the mouse would be enough I think for a lot of users.

For those who use a variety of DAWs I'm wondering what keeps you from using MU as your primary DAW?

I'm not sure if that is the sane question to ask. The question should rather be: What does MuLab have to offer over others DAWs which would make you use it over other DAWs?

I would ask the same for any other DAW, or any other software as well.

As a hobbyist, with a particular interest in soft-synths Mulab is may favourite DAW and has been since I first began using it in 2015. It is a wonderful modular playground with limitless possibility and yet straightforward easy logical approach to sound design and production.

So the question for me should be 'What features draw me to use another DAW instead of mulab?'
Until recently two things have made me use bitwig studio instead of mulab: these were -

1. plugin formats

2. MPE capability

The first of these has now been addressed. Interesting that I was trying various wrappers to allow use of CLAP and VST3 plugins in mulab, while now mulab plugin can itself be used as a wrapper for these formats in another DAW which does not support them! (for e.g. I still have cubase v7.5 and mulab plugin lets me now run CLAP plugins there if I needed to) What a turnaround, Amazing!

The second we are almost there. Mulab has lots of midi and automation capability, only thing missing there is the polyphonic expression.

This all means that now I have far less reasons to reach for another DAW, and can spend more time enjoying the freedom and creativity of mulab.
