I'm only using a PC with 8GB, and so imagine how quickly a few plugins loaded (400MB+) makes things unusable (Rob Papen plugins cough cough).

there's a repeated conflation of 'memory' with 'hard drive space' in this thread, starting with the OP. footprint on disk is not memory usage.

The thing that kills me about Arturia is that so much of those large graphics are a pure waste of RAM, because they’re things like two key graphics for every key on the virtual keyboard, just so they can have a realistic perspective shot. Such a waste of resources.

Memory-hog plugins are usually a sign of poor coding.

A notable offender is Chowdhury DSP/Chow - as far as I remember most of his plugins (even the more basic ones) consume near 500MB of ram per instance.
Ever since I noticed the offense, I'm seriously considering demanding a refund.
