It does support Midi 2.0.Atlatnesiti wrote: Wed Oct 11, 2023 12:20 pm Well, obviously NI discontinued to support KKS MK1 to sell MK3 instead![]()
MK3 still doesn’t support MIDI 2 protocol and for a good reason - NKS would become absolute![]()
Personally awaiting KORG Keystage 49 with Poly AT and most importantly MIDI 2 implementation - bidirectional comms with your host PC - NO MORE Need for “Kontrol” type of software![]()

From what I’ve seen this issue will be the same for Korg, that MIDI 2 is till not supported by OS and DAWS.
Apparently, Apple is on board. Talks are in process with Windows.
Then it’ll be DAWs next to implement MIDI 2 - seems like Logic will be first to do it.

Comes out this week I think and doesn't support MK1 hardware (all I know)
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Here’s what I want to know: when will NI plugins actually be updated to use MIDI 2, or even just the polyphonic aftertouch that they’ve ignored until now.

One step at a time. First both operating systems and all the DAWs need to support it too. But it's a joint effort between a lot of companies simultaneously.

So, if install V3 Kontrol on my Mac with MK1 Key, what will happen?SLiC wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 7:22 pm Komplete Kontrol 3.0 on October 12th apparently...no longer supports MK1 stuff so stay on 2.8 if you are a MK1 user!
Will it explode? Will it make my KK S49 Dead?

It will work in MIDI mode only with KK 3.0. Otherwise if you don't update it will continue working as it always did.

Will Komplete Kontrol 3.0 finally fix the problems that were in 1.0? ie:
A fixed window size so it can display more than 2 results
Display of what host the patch is from, and the option for results to be ordered by host

Are you sure you wouldn't rather a light/dark mode instead of these extremely sensible, basic features?noiseboyuk wrote: Wed Oct 11, 2023 3:40 pm Will Komplete Kontrol 3.0 finally fix the problems that were in 1.0? ie:
