DrivenByMoss: Bitwig extension for many hardware controllers (version 26.6.1)

Hello Juergen yes thats what i mean you can clearly see that it is your extension because the arrow colours are your chosen colours " white for up and green for down en both green for launch and stop/solo/mute". After extension started up, the lights go off.

Entering the browser by clicking a + button to add a device/instruments also lights up the pads. In fact it is only when you start up and nearly any action following will put back the lights on.

I can reproduce it and it will be (hopefully) fixed in the next update.

Is this the line where you describe that you solved it?:

Auto Color
Fixed: Did crash on startup.

There is a scenes mode but it does not support the wheel yet. Will add it.

Hey Moss,

I am a new user of bitwig and your script, but I can't seem to get it working for my Push 2 device. The script is working for my Komplete Kontrol mk2, but with the Push 2 there are no options in the MIDI IN & MIDI OUT select dropdowns to choose the MIDI ports on the Push2 device per your instructions. The KK midi ports show in the dropdowns but not the push device ports.

Anyone have any ideas why the Push2 MIDI ports are not visible to Bitwig yet the KKmk2 ports are?

If anyone has any clues as to areas to investigate, I'm all ears.

If they do not show up, there is a hardware issue. Check if the device is properly installed on your system. Try different USB ports / cable, the usual stuff.

Hi it would still be nice on the akai fire step sequencer page (first left button), if we could replace a current note by simply holding it and selecting a new note. Currently we have to tap the note to delete it and then add a new note.

Another feature that would be nice if selecting clip length would somehow expand the length of existing selected clips. Im still on Bitwig 4. one day I will upgrade when they add a few more features.

Hello Moss! Could you make it so that you can switch the resolution from the controller and receive data on what the current resolution is? Having looked at the log after changing the resolution in OSC, I realized that there was nothing to cling to to replace the existing faders and encoders with a high resolution.

In my Setup with Bitwig (latest Version) and Push2+your amazing script I miss the step indicator in sequenzer mode for some reason.
Its gone since a Long time.
Is that on purpose or can I fix it somehow?
I really miss it:)

Today I installed Driven by Moss V 21.3 by Moving the bwextension in the Bitwig Extensions Folder.
I started Bitwig an all worked fine.
After Closing Bitwig, I wanted to work with Logic Pro, but after Pressing the inControl-Button, there was no connection to Logic.
I tried:
- Removing Novation SL mk3 in Bitwigs Remote-Window
- Removing Driven by Moss from the Bitwig Extensions Folder
- Restart mac an SL mk3
- Soft-Reset SL mk3 via the Components App

Nothing helps ... after pressing InControl all Displays on the SL mk3 are black.

What can I do to solve this?

The displays are cleared when the exension shuts down. The device remembers this state, so this is not surprising. When you run it again it will be filled again.
I do not own Logic and cannot test this but if it's script is running correctly it should simply work as well.

I had to remove the controller in Logic and add it again.
May be a Logic Problem.

Hi,
I've got two AKAI Fire's and I was thinking if it would be possible to chain them in some way. They work nicely in different views, one in mix/overview and one in clip launch for example. But I'd like to use them as one big surface, sort of. So the one to the left would be my first 16 tracks, and the one on the right, the next sixteen tracks. I can sort of do it by pining each device to a track, then the view of the individual devices doesn't follow the track selection on screen, but then the four knobs are locked on the track I've pinned the device to. Muting, arming and soloing works as I'd like though.
Is there a way to do this "chaining"?
