GForce OB-X has the same X-Modifiers as Minimonsta, meaning nearly every parameter has its own dedicated envelope and LFO. This provides near modular functionality and I personally find it easier/faster to program than modulars.

That's right, it opens up fascinating possibilities. Eric, how do you think the Gforce compares to other emulations like Arturia?

playing with the demo, fun stuff. the only thing that's killing me (so far).. the white text on the light gray paneling. huh?

Yeah, that frankly sucks. Otherwise I love the synth so far.fisherKing wrote: Thu Oct 12, 2023 3:48 pm playing with the demo, fun stuff. the only thing that's killing me (so far).. the white text on the light gray paneling. huh?

There's an issue with Ableton Live 11 controller scripts, and the AU and VST3 versions on mac. The GUI slows down, almost hangs.
They know about it, but don't think it's in their hands to fix it.

Similar to some others here, as an existing Oberheim bundle owner, I got OB-X discounted for £39.99 (or £47.99 after £8 VAT was added).HydrogenHuman wrote: Thu Oct 12, 2023 7:19 am Wonder if there will be discount for owners of the other Oberheim software.

The white section labels on the incredibly pale blue (almost gray, almost white) background looks awful. My vision is still pretty darn good but the low contrast is awful. On the 3D render at the top of the product page, where the background is a deeper blue, no issues. Looks great there. But in the plugin itself, the legibility of those labels is pretty awful. Otherwise, no other GUI complaints.
The original GForce OB-X GUI - Panel/Text brightness balance:
Some possible minor GUI brightness tweaks (without straying far off the original design aesthetic) ...
A) Retaining the same panel brightness, but with darker text (for improved contrast/legibility)
B) Retaining roughly the same text label brightness, but with darker panels.

That darker panel look would've been 100% fine with me.
