I must have confused the quote and edit buttons at the time. Shit happens. Just like pricing mistakes.

There will be long term ramifications. TAL will be hurt for years. Do you not understand this or do you just lack empathy for it?equisonus wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 11:33 am I can’t care less if my favorite dev accepted sale terms that he couldn’t understand because of not hiring an English <> Deutsch translator and that led him to the situation to give away a batch of licenses. That’s his problem.
“Can we do 13% of?” vs. “Can we do 13% off?” Anyone could have made that mistake, including a translator.

Even two native German speakers talking German to each other may step into a fatal misunderstanding. There are countless occasions I've seen this in my business life.Uncle E wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 3:16 pm “Can we do 13% of?” vs. “Can we do 13% off?” Anyone could have made that mistake, including a translator.
That's why it's always a good idea to write down / confirm even the simplest 'numbers'. In this case: telling the deducted price, usually pinned down in an order/offer confirmation.
If TAL or AD would have done it, both sides would have been clear about the agreement.

I think there is this childish thinking that we find often in KVR that all companies are giant corporates driven by greed and with no human being managing them...Uncle E wrote: Sat Oct 14, 2023 3:16 pmThere will be long term ramifications. The reality is that plugins companies are tiny tiny businesses, ran by passion, by very talented developers who could earn much more by being ... in these big corporate companies...
Instead of that they took the courageous (or dumb) path of passion.
