I own most softsynths for direct side by side comparison, Phase Plant is definitely one of the very best and when its on sale for 99 an utter bargain.
95% of the time I just tweak presets. I've really wanted to like Phase Plant, but every preset demo I've listened to sucks. Some of the sound design is interesting---I can enjoy weird stuff---but the audio quality is lacking.

You surely make it sound like it, but, I highly doubt that that's really the case. Rather sounds like you want to make your point stronger, and more "dramatic" indeed.
It is a fact that some people are "suffering from issues," that Vital is still buggy and Matt has been unable or unwilling to fix those bugs. As just one example, load up 4 instances of Vital and see what happens to the GUI of the fourth instance. You did purchase Vital, right? Or are you just once again commenting on a plugin you don't even have installed?

Is there any proof that Matt has "delivered the features promised for the respective payment tier"? Where are the "subscriber only packs"? Where are the "new plugins" promised to entice subscribers? Why did you turn it around in order to make your point more dramatic? Why couldn't you answer the questions I posed? Because you haven't got a clue what you're talking about as usual.

Look I get it, you don't care one bit about your fellow musicians here. You are one of those who creates drama by blindly defending developers even when they do not conduct their business properly.

Do you care more about Matt than all of the rest of your fellow musicians here? I understand that you have no concept of community and KVR is a place where you've never contributed anything but your opinion. You've made a 34,000+ post career out of starting drama here.

But let's call it for what it is....if a developer promises something to entice payment and then does not deliver on that promise they are guilty of fraud. Plain and simple. I know you don't care if people are victims of fraud but I do. I bought in to the early access version of Vital so I was one of the first people to support Matt and I'm going to call him out when it is deserved whether that triggers you or not.

If you can't grasp the simple concept that once developers accept money for a product they are then obligated to provide a stable product and reasonable support then stay out of the thread. All you're doing is (once again) creating drama. Capice?

Hmmm. whilst indeed I have some outstanding issues with Vital (mostly cosmetic and relatively minor), I just tried four instances and there wasn't an issue on my mac in cubase.

Nothing wrong with tweaking pre-sets, but it may be the demos you listen to had low audio rendered quality, worth downloading the PP demo and listening to the pre-sets through your own system I think.

You need to keep the GUI's of 4 instances opened at the same time to see it.

Ahh, because I don't work that way, I never saw it..
Thanks.

But yep, by the third instance.. the gui goes weird.

Was this a problem with too ambitious? a problem of many people just got the free version?
A lesson for future developers?

I wish Vital got the developer attention it deserves. It's my favorite of the synths I own, and it's disappointing to see that it effectively looks abandon, although I don't believe that to be the actual case. Maybe life changed for Matt and he can't put time into it... Anyway, it's mostly functional for me, so I keep using it.

Yeah, maybe. Although I really like Matt's design decisions, and there's a chance things would gravitate away from those decisions in a way that I don't like. I'm not a fan of Surge from a UI standpoint. Not that Vital would have to go to that team - but still the same point.
