One last note as well -- you can audition all of Current's preset here: https://www.minimal.audio/stream/current_presets
No need to watch videos, the same filters, tags, packs etc available inside the instrument, are demo-able on the website without any sign up.
Here's one of my favorite packs:

In the other hand, I start to understand that you are living in a sad, sad world where everybody tries to f**k you over.liquidsound wrote: Sun Oct 15, 2023 7:57 pm I understand you feel it’s better to live in a better world and so it is better for you to see it the way you do.
My blessings then. Good for you.
There must be something maybe in your behaviors letting people thing you are an easy prey
My 2 cents is that there is a ton of people trying to take advantage of others, fortunately they can be spotted miles away, try to exercise to recognise the signs, it would make your life easier.

Ok, thanks for communicating about it.Minimal Audio wrote: Sun Oct 15, 2023 10:18 pm Hey everyone -- I'm not totally caught up on everything here -- but here's a couple responses for avoid further anger.
Please cancel your plan. -- you can cancel the trial during any point and you still have access until the end of the 30 day free trial, if you're planing to cancel, please just do so at any point, you will still have the full 30 days. There are a large number of people now using Current, and we can't simply brick them all and ask them to sign back up for what is essentially the same plan with more benefits, the plans will roll over to RTO.If my trial doesn't auto-cancel and they convert to RTO, I will be quite pissed
It is fine for me as long as it is clear and open.
At the end I feel I'll probably buy your synth because it is very fun.
Most of the people here have already a lot of VSTs (if not all major) so I guess it is very difficult to differentiate.
Yet I really appreciate the extern quality of the oscillators and effects.
Any plan to make it more modular in the future (you already allow the sub to go direct to output, it would be cool to have this feature everywhere or even better, multiple lanes of effects like in phase plant).
I wish you a ton of success with this synth. It is brillant work.

Your poking is quite simplistic and ineffective but you are trying to be relevant in the discussion. Why not…
Carry on…

I was trying to poke you about your mention on "fine prints" on the MA website that I found a bit ridiculous... but you saw me coming so it is not funny anymore...

Talking about Current great oscillators, do you know any synth with similar spectral features? On top of my head I see Vital and DS Thron, maybe Europa. But so far I am giving the edge to Current. Any other synth I forget?

Serum, Massive X. Those synth have spectral wavetables if i recall right

I dont think serum has spectral features. I have it but rarely use it. What feature do you have in mind having spectral aspect?Lbdunequest wrote: Mon Oct 16, 2023 4:03 am Serum, Massive X. Those synth have spectral wavetables if i recall right
In Thorn for example you have control on all the harmonics involved in the generation process as well as an harmonic filter.

Hey, I missed a lot of the drama since this Current synth was initially launched, under the now defunct 'subscription only' model. And so I have a few questions, after having watched the 'Current Pricing Update & Apology' video on YouTube.
Where are things 'currently' with this synth? (pun intended)
I presently own Minimal Audio's 'Effects Bundle', which includes, well, all their effects.
However, I have zero interest in signing up for either subscription or rent-to-own plans.
I would like to trial the new 'Current' synth and then, if I like it, I would like to purchase it outright with a perpetual licence. As I understand it, Minimal Audio are pricing it at around ~$200?
If all of that so far, is factually correct, then...
A) Where can I download and trial the 'Current' plugin, without having to sign up for the RTO plan? The website seems to only show the 'monthly / yearly' payment plan options. Is this due to be overhauled/updated any time soon?
B) If not, then where are the present download links and payment options to for me to trial and purchase the product outright (perpetual licence)?
C) When logged into my Minimal Audio account, I am being offered a personal upgrade plan from my owned 'Effects Bundle' to the 'Everything Bundle' for an Upgrade Price of $269.50. Would/Does that also include this new synth Current or not?
Thank you, any advice would be appreciated.

Regarding Current, the only fields it can't compete right now are Granular and Wavetable. But I wouldn't be surprised if they added that sometime in the future.
And there are Pigments, Falcon and HALion, all of which go beyond what Current offers. And Synthmaster, from which version 3 is about to enter beta stage, also offers a lot (I think in what concerns Current, only Granular is missing - but it has other things Current hasn't).

I think there is a misunderstanding. I meant spectral not spatial.fmr wrote: Mon Oct 16, 2023 9:26 amSkyDust3D, from Sound Particles: https://soundparticles.com/products/skydust/overviewJac459 wrote: Mon Oct 16, 2023 1:36 am Talking about Current great oscillators, do you know any synth with similar spectral features? Spectral is a transformation of any complex wave into a sum of sin waves. It is related to additive synthesis.

I know what you meant, and I know what I mean. Take a look at SkyDust3D. It's NOT just about "spatial". And all the others I mentioned also have a lot of "spectral" capabilities. BTW - what you described is analysis and resynthesis (usually connected to additive synthesis), not "spectral". Spectral is about the manipulation of the spectrum (partials) content of a sound (usually in real time and in the time domain). Subtractive synthesis is also spectral, since it's about filtering partials in real time, altering the spectrum.Jac459 wrote: Mon Oct 16, 2023 9:31 amI think there is a misunderstanding. It may look the same thing, but it's not.
