Triggering Issues in the Drum Sampler

Anyone else use Tracktion's built in Drum Sampler? Anyone else getting double trigger issues?

Here's an example:

You can see the second note triggered at zero velocity although it still sounds. I have not had this happen in any of the other drum plugins I use but it happens quite frequently in Tracktion's Drum Sampler.

I've checked all the midi I/O settings and there is no feedback loop and if there was it would affect all plugins.

Odd issue that seems to happen with drum kits with more than one sample per Pad. :?

I did a very quick test to see if I could get the same results. I loaded Drum Sampler and loaded the Underground preset because it has multiple layers. I made a MIDI clip that triggers the kick with a velocity at about 90 and also at 0. The 90 one sounds and the 0 one doesn't. Maybe there is another condition?
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Thanks, for the record I'm triggering the drums in real time from the pads on my Akai MPK 261 which works perfectly in every other DAW and every other drum plugin I've tried in Tracktion.

I should clarify that I can hear the double trigger when it happens even though it's recorded at zero velocity.

Not sure what's going on but it is easy to reproduce.

If it's a zero all the time on the fake notes, it might be that it's a note off event from the previous hit?

In any case, it might be possible to simply filter them out with one of the "midi event filters" - condition if midi velocity is zero (or out of range from 1-127), then ignore. You'd need to place it just before DrumSampler. Make sure you use that only on the vst for the pads while using drums, or you'll quickly find out what it would be like playing piano with a stick sustain pedal !

it is quite difficult to understand what exactly is wrong, if all these aspects are taken into account. but if we proceed from our own experience of using the drum sampler, tracktion has a feature, when manually adding a sample to an empty pad, the velocity sensitivity control is removed to zero, becoming completely insensitive to changes, respectively. This happens with all samplers where pads are used. Therefore, do not forget to set the sensitivity value to "100%" when adding the first sample to an empty pad

Can you confirm that the velocity is actually zero, and not just really low? Your screenshot doesn't actually show the numbers. I don't quite understand how one records something with zero velocity, but I don't do drum midi recording myself, so maybe that's a thing... :D

Even if velocity sensitivity is turned fully down, a velocity of zero should still not trigger. At least that's how it works for me. I only have access to the Micro samplers, though, so I can't test the full Drum Sampler with multiple layers.
