Same thing here. I'm interested in demoing the plugin, but there's no option to do so without signing up for a monthly/yearly subscription (rent-to-own). Which, many people like me are not interested in.

So, they can say all the stuff they want in their 'apology video'. But until they deliver upon those promises, they are not entirely redeemed.

And if they were truly sorry, they'd pull their fingers out of their butts and make that their top priority. They can't claim to be "relaunching" the plugin as a perpetual licence, with an alternative RTO payment plan, if they're only delivering upon the latter.

Minimal Audio, shelve the entire monthly/annual payment systems until you are ready to properly relaunch it according to the payment terms, you set out in your video, if needs be. Because at the moment, it seems like you're still pushing the whole subscription model, trying to get people used to accepting that, instead of providing options to demo the plugin and for perpetual licence purchases.

Nothing much has really changed on the site since the launch. Just promises, promises. But remember, your trust stock is running quite low with customers at the moment, so you'll have to do better than that.
