So MIDI 2.0 provides 2-way communication but the plugin makers still need to provide compatibility. If this is the case, what is the benefit over NKS? Am I missing some other core benefits?
The arpeggiator and ratchets seems excellent, in any case.

It's not NKS!
Seriously- it lets all keyboard or controller makers have 2 way coms with plug ins with no wrappers. That has to be good.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

If Nektar makes a MIDI 2.0 controller, I can imagine them doing a great job of bridging the gap between the compatible and incompatible plugins. Plus more controllers. The Korg is just too sparse for me.

The benefit is that you don't need a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol keyboard, but just a random MIDI 2.0 compatible keyboard.Uncle E wrote: Wed Oct 25, 2023 4:30 pm So MIDI 2.0 provides 2-way communication but the plugin makers still need to provide compatibility. If this will become a thing, then more and more plugins will provide the features as well. IF it is true that plugins have to provide it. I frankly don't think so, because, all that I've read about MIDI 2.0 (including statements from the VST3 developers) suggested that it's a DAW implementation.

Honestly we could desperately use a keyboard that has both. I mean the Wavestate does and it's literally the only "full" synth that completely supports the keyboard. Even at least one of the Gadgets has an XY pad.zvenx wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 7:23 pm I am surprised as well as disappointed that Korg is making a controller with wheels not joysticks.

I really hoped that there would be a smaller version of this keyboard with 32 or 25 keys.
I really want to replace my MPKMini Plus.
Any suggestions for small midi to keep it on the desk?

Judging by the reviews, I have decided to cancel my order for Keystage 49.
It looks like I’ll be sticking to my good and trusty NI KK S49 MK1 for little longer
