I get them right when I launch my DAW, not in the middle of a take.

I have always wondered why there wasn’t an update thread on here or GS.

There is. It's a core function of this site.

I use it all the time but it is way out of date and not every plugin developer is there. Plus you have to manually add your plugins. I have over 1000 plugs to keep an eye on.

Start a thread and keep it updated. See if it gains tractions. Be the change you want to see

I know you are just having fun with me but I believe it would work if it was done officially. The likes of Audiority, Audiothing etc. always post their updates in their threads on here which is really helpful.

Who is this official handling the officially done update threads? The problem (as I see it) is with those developers who don't do a good job with update notifications and fail to issue release notes. Developers who do a good job notifying users of updates will continue to do so under any system concocted ... and those who do not will not. Creating a thread won't change anything.

This friggin site does this, come on people. Right now it's notifying me that 12 plugins are updated, including Infiltrator. Click the top left hamburger, then MyKVR, the for me it's view updates.

I got a notice in MyKVR a few days ago about a bunch of Brainworx plugins that were updated back in August.

I guess that’s still better than the Plugin Alliance PA-InstallationManager, which doesn’t tell you at all if there are any updates to your plugins.

I do not have that many VST plugins (around 40), but I'm always annoyed by the fact that I do need to keep manual track of updates. Actually, I have a list of my plugins with the most recent versions noted, and I check the developers' webpage from time to time for updates.

'MyKVR' is handy but broken because not all developers are updating the KVR database. Even worse, not all developers send emails about product updates (despite being on a newsletter list). In addition, I do not understand why not every single developer publishes a change log, so I can see if I need or want the update. It's sometimes a bit frustrating ...

How do you keep up with your plugin updates?

It is a problem. Would love some centralizing feature for vsts(buying, selling, installing, updating etc.). I know there have been some small projects in this direction, but i think it will not be a big hit. Steam for vsts would be ace. Probably not happening.
