plexuss wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 5:13 pmQ3 GUI scaling is pretty bad with only 2-3 fixed maginifications. The largest (not full screen) is still not large enough on my monitor, so there's that. I think Q3 sits right as a purely digital EQ so I'd prefer if they didnt go the route of Kirch with analogue modelling. Saturation, no way.davestretch wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 12:22 pm Pro-Q4 must be due soon - Q3 was released 5 years ago which is an eternity in the Plugin world. I would guess that the Dynamics section would get additional controls to be at least on par with the Kirchoff in any major update.
Other than that what else is there to improve upon? Already Scaleable up to Full Screen, text is clearer than the Kirchoff, has the peaks/match facility, overlap of other instances so you can easily see clashes. Doesn't have all the "modelled EQ" types of the Kirchoff but they are just curves and do not add any saturation.
For me, off the top of my head, the main refinements FF can make to Q3 are around making the GUI more readable, its all just too small even with the main window made larger. Scalable window. Scalable UI elements. Anything to improve the sound quality would also be appreciated as I am sure there is more that can be done from a DSP perspective.

Using the VST3 version on Mac I have continuous adjustable scaling by dragging the bottom right hand corner of the plugin.

I wasn’t trying to be rude or antagonistic, just wanted to provide clarity for others who are reading the thread.

Clearly Q3 needs work and I'd be surprised if they werent working on it, and other FF products. Because... that's what they do. Every software company has their own way of rolling out updates (or not). FF seems to be one that takes their time releases very solid products. That leaves stakeholders in the dark for a longer period, but with the added benefits of a solid release. It's simply not possible to release significant and robust updates quickly and cheaply. Many have heard of the Iron Triangle: you can only have two of good quality, fast, cheap (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_m ... t_triangle). It's basically the way it goes in your average software shop.perpetual3 wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 6:49 pm I wasn’t trying to be rude or antagonistic, just wanted to provide clarity for others who are reading the thread.

PA finally (quietly) made the 1.6.2 update available a few days ago. This version has stable on Ventura in my use so far.
el davo wrote: Fri Nov 25, 2022 1:47 pm Just a heads up if you're on Mac OS Ventura: PA states Kirchhoff EQ only supports Mac OS 10.11–12.0 on the product page. Indeed, I experienced that it is unstable on 13.0 (Ventura). E.g. two instances with one set to 2x oversampling will always crash the session. Reported to PA and forwarded to devs, no date known for a fix as of now.

Apple Silicon related.
I need help please !
i had the KirchEQ running on my M2 Mac.
I run my Host in ARM native as also in Rosetta2 mode.
At same point in time i had problems with the Kirch and installed all again.
i had it installed original from TBTB *and* also from PluginAlliance. (not sure if its same or not)
I recently deinstalled it, and reinstalled it. Both.
Then deiinstalled it, and only reinstalled the PA version.
Nothing helped. I lost my ARM native readyness.
i don´t get it back to work at ARM native !
What would you do ?
What can i do ?
( its my goto EQ. Just updated cubase to 13. ...and the KirchEQ is on the black list / NEED to solve that)

I think...good luck. They were updating it a lot at the beginning...now they do not update it anymore. I reported Its a bit slow when I open it (I got a white screen for a second) not a big deal but annoying. They said they would look into it, but I'm still waiting.

this always happens when PA buys shit.MichaelWhiteMusic wrote: Thu Nov 02, 2023 10:25 pm I think...good luck. They were updating it a lot at the beginning...now they do not update it anymore. Same happened with crispy tuner.
Even if it gets updated, PA holds updates back (i.e. Dmitry Schess stuff).

Tbtech could still release updates, they did for their own customers eg with 1.6.4 outside of the PA distribution.
They just haven't done any updates yet.

ahh, interesting. I am an original owner.dermage wrote: Fri Nov 03, 2023 10:48 pm Tbtech could still release updates, they did for their own customers eg with 1.6.4 outside of the PA distribution.
so my PA license is 1.6.2 ?
still not totally solved my problems.
I fear my TBTB install is not ARM native. but i have installed 16.2, then 1.6.4
and at some point in time was it working ARM native, iirc.
Ok, i just checked: yes, my TBTB install shows both VST3 and AU when i load my Host under rosetta2. But only the AU whne loading the host ARM native.
( i´ve several times reinstalled it during the last months)
at least Cubase13 is showing one version. and since its only one version, it will not create confusion.

1.6.4 has been rolled out about half a year ago. On their native platform a few weeks earlier.Funky40 wrote: Sat Nov 04, 2023 3:17 amahh, interesting. Did you contact TBTech directly and ask about VST3 M1 compatibility? They usually respond within a day with a possible answer/solution, not like PA support.
