MAutoDynamicEQ - Midi Notes triggering Abletons Undo history

Hi,

I am using MAutoDynamicEQ to HP Filter my Bassline, like the picture is showing.
To shift the HP Filter according to the notes played, I use the Midi Notes function of Melda and that works great.

But....in Ableton, every Midi trigger of each played note leads to an entry of the frequency manipulation in the Undo history while the song is being played. I need to stop playing the song and if I played it for al long time, every midi notes information is a single history entry.

And if I want to edit an automation node value while playing, this also does not work. Ableton is not offering this function while playing the song. If I stop the song, it works again.

Any clue why this happens and how I can get rid of it with different Melda settings? I tried the Pitch follower module but it was not working correct at all times.

Otherwise I will have to blame Ableton for this :o

Thx, Stefan

Any ideas? Or does the use of Midi Notes generally produce actions that are reflected by the undo history?

p.s. in a former version of this post I suggested I got rid of this problem. Was not the case ;-(

The same thing happens in REAPER as well. It looks like the MIDI controller actually changes the parameter instead of modulating it.
I think that behavior is very problematic, since it will fill your undo history with unnecessary changes. Hopefully this can be changed without breaking backwards compatibility.

Thx Held for your reply.
I already thought I am the only one with this problem.
Hopefully there is an "easy" way to solve it, as I really feal very comfortable with this method to " midi modulate" parameters.
Let`s see if Mr. Melda will solve it.
Cheers, Stefan
