I agree with the message that you can get by with one reverb plugin. I happen to only use LiquidSonics Seventh Heaven ($69, iLok) which is their simplified emulation of a Bricasti M7. I just pick the preset room and only adjust the reverb time. I don't feel the need to adjust dozens of parameters. To me this would be a distraction from songwriting.bmanic wrote: Sun Nov 05, 2023 6:34 pm Totally agree with everybody here about Valhalla VV. It's always the first commercial reverb I recommend everybody get. It covers pretty much everything you'd ever need in a reverb. The rest is pure luxury.
I do occasionally mess around with Valhalla Super Massive which is excellent considering it is free.
I also own but don't use :
- a hardware Lexicon PCM-81. I need to sell this one of these days.
- The Lexicon plugins which annoyingly split different algorithms across separate plugins.
- Valhalla Room which never sat comfortably in the mix for me.
