Definitely.

I'm pretty sure that is usually what most music software companies are trying to aim for as well.

I'd love to get a better discount on the Signature Bundle and fill in the gaps that I don't have. I contacted UA support on this point actually.

Well last year... And tbh I felt it was a storm in a teacup. What it showed me was that, some of, the Bitwig user base were amongst the most highly strung, overreacting bunch of people on the planet.
The way I remember it the problem was, that Bitwig just didn't keep their promise, which naturally didn't go too well with people... if the outcry would have just been a bunch of entitled lads, they probably wouldn't have backpedalled - public apology and all - the way they did.

But that's all water under the river now. They were fully forgiven (unlike Waves it seems, who might feel the results of their mistake for years to come).

No reply on the support request for custom loyalty offers (2 full working days since I asked). I will post here when they reply, but I am not expecting any positive response.

I think I agree with both of you.
It was a storm in a teacup because some posts including in KVR were very insulting and comparing Bitwig Devs with crooks which is as further from the truth as it get.

On the other hand, it wasn't a good choice from BS to make plugins not included in the upgrade plan, in particular in view of the price. I am fully in favor of Bitwig Studio trying to get other revenue streams but it should be presets or sound contents, not features.

In my view they should try to have more creators using the grid to make crazy presets banks and offer a kind of store around it.
It would be awesome and nobody would complain.
A bit like Kilohearts actually.

Same boat.

Their price policy is suicidal but since I love the plugins I will hold my nose and give them 300 dollars for 5 plugins 😂😂
If I buy signature bundle (I deduct the VAT) in the future I will have no offer or thanks coupon directly from UAD, correct?

I think you should wait for some more time before spending $300 for only 5 plugins. :)

If you purchase the bundles/plugins directly from UA website, you should get the thank you coupon. So, unless you have a specific reason to buy elsewhere, get it at UA.

But again, let's wait and see if they honour us with any custom loyalty upgrade coupon.

Drew on UADforum has been encouraging people who have some of the stuff already to wait, that offers specific to them may be coming soon in the coming days.

Hey guys I don't have any UAD plugins (so the offers look pretty attractive). A few Q's about UAD generally:
Are they CPU efficient?
Can they all resize?
Are they all VST 3?
Are they fairly light to install (don't install loads of files, fairly fuss-free quick to install)?
Are they fast to load?

Many thanks

Of course different people will have different experiences.
These are mine on mac and pc.

Yes, yes, yes, yes (well except the piano ravel and maybe the rhodes, and maybe the IR reverbs)), and yes.

Talking about the native plugins...

Very efficient.
Resizable.
VST3.
The UA Connect App is bloatware but if you have a hardware iLok, I hear you can uninstall it.
They load fast but the GUI is blurred for like 2 seconds while it checks the authorization.

Interestingly, I only have to wait the 2-3 seconds on Windows. I have a base model M1 MacBook Air, and they load and unblur nearly instantaneously on it. Maybe UA needs to optimize their Windows code.

Agree the plugins are very efficient.

Arturia plugins take 30+ seconds to load on my Windows PC (first time). On my M1 Macbook Pro: nearly instant. UA isn't alone.

I only have LX-24 but it takes about 2 seconds to load for me on Windows the first time I open a project.
