Ok, installed and I really like it apart from 2 things so far which might be lack of understanding:
1. How do you know which modulator modulates what???
I mean of course if you click on an modulator the modulated parameters light up in yellow/green but there is no list on the modulator itself as far as I´ve seen... just a list when you rightclick the modulator "circle" on the parameter itself... but from the modulator itself I cannot find a way to show me a list what this thing modulates completely...
I find this kind of graphical presentation might work on a single page synth like Phaseplant but falls completely apart in a multipage synth like Current...
I.e. the color coding to see easier what is modulated falls completely apart as soon as a modulator modulates another modulator as I cannot see the other modulators controls (and therefore the color coded "circles) as long as I don´t select this one which breaks than the color highlighting from the other...
2. Many many stream presets have already all modulators in use... I find the number of modulators too limited ... 9 mods (10 including the fixed Amp envelope) is not enough as long as factory presets already occupy everything and there is actually not a convinient way to see what´s modulated by what...
Again... perhaps I am just too silly to use it properly but this stroke me immediately...
I often take factory presets and tweak them to my liking but what I´ve written here makes it anything but easy...
Phase Plant has a very clear system but this works just because of being mostly a one page synth...
Serum/Vital have even 2 ways... directly on the modulator and the Mod Matrix
Rapid and Avenger have at least a Mod Matrix...
As much as I like the synth engine and the effects themselves but this is a huge oversight imho...

Fully agree. There should be a way, some kind of view like matrix or whatever to be able to easily tell what modulates what (and to be able to batch-adjust them there as well and even remap like in Vital for example). I'm with you on more modulator slots as well.Trancit wrote: Thu Nov 09, 2023 9:54 am Ok, installed and I really like it apart from 2 things so far which might be lack of understanding:

I am trialling it and still early days but it has some interesting and useful features which I do not think I have in some of my synths.
Only comment I would make is it may be worth changing the wording on the £10month offer so it is clear you have to pay £120 and it works out at £10 a month. I originally thought it meant you could pay this monthly so it could be clearer.

The "Current Bundle" text lists:
Current / Cluster Delay / Fuse Compressor / Morph EQ
Note: Current has (4) unreleased effect which will be coming to the bundle shortly.
Are those 4 effects the chorus, reverb, filter, and ?? that are presently in Current?
And, "coming to the bundle shortly" does that mean that purchasing the bundle now means getting those 4 other effects for free once released?
Thanks in advance for any reply.

Minimal did mention earlier in the thread that they are going to add some kind of other kind of modulation overview/representation at some stage.
As it stands it's pretty it's a very similar system to Pigments.
(Btw, like Pigments you don't have to click on a destination or source in current to make the assignments light up. Just hover over it.)
But there are two things Pigments does better:
Firstly, if a modulated parameter is not on the current page there will be a colour dot on the page tabs to show you that a modulator is doing something there when you hover over the modulator.
In current a modulator could be modulating an effect, for example, and you wouldn't know that unless the effect page was open.
Secondly, if you hit the Assign button on a modulator in Pigments it shows you a list of what it's assigned to. I'm not a huge fan of the clicking to see it aspect since you have to hit the X to close the window but at least it's there.
In current, like you say, something like right clicking the modulator sources and having a list of what it's modulating would be a good thing. Just a mirror of what it does when you click the modulation destination circle. At the moment it's just a reset option.
Also agreed on the the representation of the depth modulation. A circle within a circle isn't ideal.
I'm definitely in the build from scratch camp so, personally I haven't found the amount of modulators in any way restrictive.

The Ripple Phaser would be my guess as one missing from your list.OzoneJunkie wrote: Thu Nov 09, 2023 11:32 am The "Current Bundle" text lists:

The filter is lifted from Rift and is already available as Rift filter lite.

I assume this is a bug but I don't see an easy way to attach an image in the support section to report it there.
Why when I switch to Local there are some Sounds I can't preview?
I assume these are from All Access banks that I haven't downloaded or not downloaded currently (yesterday I had downloaded everything and today rethought that process and only downloaded the factory content), but I would imagine these should now show up in Local, unless there is some cache file somewhere I need to delete.

How does one demo it?
Also, so theoretically i can own it for $139 in a years time? ($120 annual giving me $180, and assuming the price doesn't go up, the $19 additional).
Btw can one use the credit during a sale?
thanks
rsp
Yes, for the annual plan that is correct. You could pay $120 for one year of the All Access plan, which would give you $180 credit. Add $19 cash and you can purchase the perpetual license.
Credit cannot be combined with discounts/sales. We think the $60 bonus credit for annual subscribers is a great evergreen deal and we don't intend to go lower than that for any sales.
does it still mean that taking 10 dollar 12 month anual plan ill be able to buy just by adding 19 usd and paying in total 139?Bonus credit can be used to save on any perpetual licenses, resulting in a 33% discount.

Can I suggest another workflow enhancement? In stream, whichever category you're in (presets, wavetables etc), please add a 'show in pack' feature, if you right click on a preset, wavetable, or sample. Same goes for the main preset browser window, give us the option to show what pack a preset comes from.

I'm going to answer my own questionsjbraner wrote: Thu Nov 09, 2023 9:51 am Disclaimer - I haven't read all the details on the web site yet.
This is not meant to be negative - but I think it might be helpful to mention what you *don't* get by buying the perpetual license vs the rent to own.
Perpetual license gives you all the factory presets as of now but you get a year of full access, so does that mean you're just "renting" any new presets/wavetables/fx that come out in the next year? ie you don't own them anymore after the year is up?
Of course after that - you own what you own and you pay for any expansions that come out 9that's the easy part)
Also - does the rent to own give you full access to all the stand alone fx? That would mean you wouldn't have to buy any of the other FX, and would eventually pay them off?
I *will* read through all the details - just trying to get a head start![]()
The All Access plans look really fair. So, no matter what you use, including the stand alone FX, these will always be available in future projects. I'd probably bounce (or freeze) anyway, to be safe - but this is a really good idea.
So, even after 1 year of $120 + bonus $60 - I guess the only thing I can't do is buy the Current bundle for the $242 it's offering it for me now.
based on:
Even still, it seems like I could still have perpetual licenses for everything now (current and all the FX for $242) or after two years of $120/yr."Store credit cannot be combined with other promotions such as bundle discounts or sales."
I guess the only downside of paying upfront is that I won't have access to any new content (which could be used during the 2 years - and will always work on old projects even if I bail out of everything.
Sorry for all this "thinking out loud" - but I'm doing it in my head and just sanity checking here
It all seems reasonable - but it could probably be "simpler"
