Thanks for the insight!HoRNet wrote: Fri Nov 25, 2022 11:32 amHi, well I don't think you can because you have two different kind of processors here:kPere wrote: Thu Nov 24, 2022 10:26 pmTo bring it back, can I ask if it's possible to emulate various saturators if setting this one up the right way?
1. the clipper is a real saturato and provides a real ceiling to the audio so if you increase the input gain you get more distortion, like in a classic distortion/saturation unit or analog gear.
2. the exciter adds harmonics, but adds them anyway, it doesn't matter if your signal is low or high in level, it always adds the same amount of harmonics so combining both together you can have interesting results but it's hard to say if you can emulate other kind of saturations
To make it easier, if you use the "tape" preset for example you get a distortion that in concept is similar to that of a tape, but the transfer curve of the tape saturation is not the same of the clipper used here so you are not getting the same level of harmonics you get with a dedicated plugin like "HoRNet Tape"

My biggest gripe with it so far, is that a little often goes way too far. Adding 1% in the harmonics can already be way too drastic. Would be much better if one could tweak the harmonics by smaller steps in the range up to 10% or so, maybe possible to allow for 0,1 steps ?

Yeah, I bought it. (Thank you for the code, by the way.) A flexible saturation plug with pre and post emphasis EQ built in and that kind of control over the harmonics for about $1.35 or so? I think its value for the money goes without saying.
I'd probably say the same thing at its normal asking price, though. That's a lot of flexibility and functionality for eleven Euros.

Great little plug-in... Works way better than I expected !
VEEERY flexible plugin..from subtle to mayhem!
I like that the dry and wet are on separate knobs (that should be the norm!)
...would like to have small + and - buttons next to det harmonics sliders for stepped increments ,
the sliders kan be bit fiddly.
AND M/S functionality would be a dream

Sorry to veer off topic but I'm trying out the Channel Strip - are there any presets for that? (I'm in Reason which sometimes doesn't find the presets)
