hey, it would be nice to see an Elysia alpha compressor emulation and the resynthesize engine module for m sound factory

It looks like most of the Alpha's features can be done in MTurboComp's edit mode: Soft Clip, "Warm" (Saturation), Dry Mix, Side-Chain HP/LP, Tilt/Shelf EQ, soft knee, Autofast Attack (using Super-Fast Attack or Envelope Detector Attack Shape), Autofast Release (using Automatic Release Mode or Envelope Detector Release Shape).wheelD wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 6:36 pm hey, it would be nice to see an Elysia alpha compressor emulation
I don't know if its possible to actually move the sidechain like Alpha's Feed-Forward mode, but in practice the result is that ratios increase and the attack times increase, according to the product literature.

For automatic compression, there is MModernCompressor. For spectral compression there is MSpectralDynamics. For automatic spectral there is... okay, I see what you mean.wheelD wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 6:36 pm some kind of AI compressor and limiter similar to smart series, would be nice to have to![]()
AI is just a means to an end, so as long as the tool works, it should be the designer's decision how to most efficiently build it, imo.

I think MTurboComp only does feed-forward compression and can't do feed-back. At least I haven't found any settings or documentation for it.sparella wrote: Sun Nov 12, 2023 1:15 am I don't know if its possible to actually move the sidechain like Alpha's Feed-Forward mode

I know it's not the same as feed-back compression but giving an higher RMS value for detection should be more gentle and less peak sensitive
