Ah yes, the "entitlement" of... requesting standard features from a piece of software you pay for. The absolute nerve!

It's awesome how that word got corrupted to be a synonym for "point of view I disagree with."

The new Live UI looks like a hot mess now. Rather than scale back the nonsense they went full throttle. Too much going on

A Keep Monitoring Latency in Recorded Audio option has been added to the right-click / CTRL-click context menu of the Monitor radio buttons for each track. This option is enabled by default, but when unchecked, recordings will have the same latency as if recorded with monitoring set to Off, regardless of which monitoring mode is selected.
This is possibly the biggest temptation for me to upgrade and seems to be flying under the rader. All the other stuff is great, but to have Live finally able to record audio fluidly while monitering, like almost every other DAW, is just...fantastic. I've been pondering a migration to Logic or Reaper as my music has started drifting further into audio recording. This might keep me locked in to my favorite DAW.

Now if only they had a 'studio mode' for the audio engine...

What kind of files can be tagged with custom tags ? ....sample, instruments presets, plugin, .als, .mid, folders, devices, midi fx .....???

So still no ARA support?

Why not - because Bitwig doesn't have it either?

If Bitwig adds ARA with V6 are they gonna try to catch up again?

It's a bit of a lost chance, no? - they could have had the edge there.

I suspect either Live or Bitwig will offer an integrated audio pitch correction in the same way Reason does at some point. Nice and simple and accessible from the rack for creative manipulation. I user ARA (melodyne) in Studio One and although Melodyne is good, it still doesn’t really feel integrated or simple. Be much nicer if audio clips could just manipulated without going to an external program and back…
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Melodyne is a) polyphonic and b) multitrack (plus it has some other great tricks up its sleeve - it's far from being a mere simple pitch-correction tool).

Reason's pitch correction is really nice, but there is no way it could compete with Melodyne in the slightest.

Also, of course, ARA absolutely isn't just for Melodyne integration.

Yep, I have Melodyne but rarely use it now, make more use of VocAlign.

Are you safe?

no arrangement tracks makes me sad, that#s really what#s missing in Ableton for me. I want to quickly reconfigure my recordings / arrangements. wild that they made not a single upgrade to this view as well, guess audio and arrangement are gonna be the next thing they'll tackle

also can't deal with the volume faders now being on the left instead of the right side, that just wrong !

I make electronic music - DAW of choice : Live 12

I bought the update from live 10 so I will have double the features, a good deal in that sense; I would have a touch-up of the instrument "sampler" with round robin integrated and granular .

hello dirtgrain
peace and love for all.

I wish I had skipped v11…

MIDI Transformation looks nice, as do the Stacked Detail Views, and mixer in the Arranger is big even though it feel like it should have been there already.

It's weird!
Many Bitwig users were originally Ableton Live users. They compare updates between the two to feel confident and happy about their purchase decisions.
