Frankly I couldn't understand what you mean by "locked in preset bloat"
Actually, having your everything bundle and mostly all the main soft synths of the market, I must say that your presets are among the very best I have ever heard.
Not a huge fan of the UI but the presets are beyond any criticism.

We've discussed it before. And you're not the only company I've dumped because of it.
You can just remove the folders of presets that you don't want and create your own.

But it's still all or nothing for each set?

Actually thinking about my personal SM involvement and think it better that I move on now...

Enjoy.

I actually just bought SM2 and the presets (as demos of capability) are what sold me.

Getting close to an alpha release. Started automated builds for Windows VST2 VST, MacOS VST2, VST3 and AU. Remaining features to reach beta status is sliced sample playback and some further SFZ improvements like envelopes. If I have time, I will complete Granular oscillator as well.

It might just answer your question
No auto tune...

kv331 wrote: Fri Aug 25, 2023 9:52 am The VAnalog oscillator is almost done! You can even do audio rate modulation (amplitude, phase or frequency), with/without hard sync. I also created some basic waveform shapes by looking at the analog shapes we sampled from Andromeda, BassStation, Sub Fatty, MS20 Mini, OB6, Prophet 6, Juno 106 and SH101.

In future updates, I will also add a menu item to convert the vanalog oscillator into a wavetable 🙂
Hi
Are you planning to add a sub osc in SM3 ?
I always miss in SM2 the sub from SMOne

I think I might add it to the VA Oscillator, that seems to be the right place?

Sub osc becoming fm/ring/other modulator is most practical and musical idea of sm1 i adore most of all.
SM1 is so fun and usable,if sm3 have more from everything sm1 already have, will be really amazing synth.
Not sure it's even considered as option, but is it optional lfo to have phase start and end point as frame or something, cause analog curves have amazing parts, but if you wanna use just part of them, not entire lfo shape you can't make it without user control of end point.
Cheers :)

I love the features of SM Synths (one too), only the GUIs are not inviting to use, i hopefully SM3 will have similar vector based like Serum, Phase Plant, Current or Vital. Easy, fast, colors, modules are well placed and balanced :)

On the GUI there are "+" buttons on the oscillator, filter and modulator sections and I find this feature super useful. My question is: how many oscillators, filters and modulators can be added on each layer?

And another question, one that I also asked in the facebook group but I didn't get any answer: does SM3 feature some kind of visual feedback for the modulation system so you can easily see which parameters are modulated and how much (the color rings around the knobs, for example)? SM2 has this feature but I don't see it in the SM3 screenshots you uploaded here or on the fb group.
