I was checking out today a plugin called Samplab which generates Audio Snippets from text prompts and it occurred to me that this would be an amazing feature to have in Waveform. This feature in combination with the existing stem separation in Waveform would be a great source for harnessing unique short audio loop samples. what do you guys think? This feature would definetly turn heads and get more people to notice Waveform.

I think that pursuit for features instead of bug fixing would turn people off more and moreMEC wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 1:21 am what do you guys think? This feature would definetly turn heads and get more people to notice Waveform.

On a KVR newsletter I get every week or so (??) there is a "quick notation" to MIDI converter freeware. Not sure how well it would work for short clips... but input might be something like c...\\(4)de#(4) (it's own language, sort of) with .mid file output.
It looked too unnatural to use for me; but then I also find the Sibelius or MuseScore are equally distracting. I want to PLAY realtime and hear - and the MIDI editor here good enough to fix little mistakes and loop.

It's just a matter of time before the major DAW companies fully adopt AI as a tool for music creation or suffer the consequences, cause they won't be able to compete with what's on its way. Adobe fully abopted AI and now they are in a better position cause of it. The DAW that does the same will put themselves ahead of the pack.

I'm pretty sure that they could do both.
