Likewise with XO and others, expect some time to analyze content the first time using it.

Oh cool, I'll probably still pick up Sononym if it hits $50 this Cyber Monday, but it being built into Live is absolutely fantastic!

I wondered right away why some DAW developer didn't include similarity search in their DAW the first time I used it with XO, Ableton FTW on this one. :)

Is the new distortion like Rift? I was thinking of picking it up this BF but it's half the price of the Ableton update. I'm thinking they look similar and with the additional modulation options in 12 I'm probably good.

By the way yesterday I got email with Rift 50% off with promo code.

It's pretty cool when you have PUSH 3 Standalone as you get all these new new synths and fx for your 'hardware', 2 for 1 on updates! I don't know whey, but getting hardware updates on stuff like my Elektron boxes always felt like a bigger deal than getting software updates...this feels sort of the same (illogical I know!)- I want the new distortion in my 'hardware' box!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

Hopefully I got it right.
Maybe someone on the beta can chime in? It’s would be cool if similarity search had some AI action, but not a deal breaker since full fledged third party AI similarity search apps already exist. I worry more about UX things, ARA integration, and generally things that affect workflow that can’t be done by outside plugins or apps. Have to admit the new plugins look good though!

This only works on samples right?
Sample content only

I don't get global scale. Why it only midi devices involved? If i want to scale whole arrangement to 2 semitones, still impossible to do it for audio globally?

I guess that´s just the starting point... and with Midi I think it´s far more easy to realize than with audio and the whole project in general...

Making it work for audio you must have before a way to make the programm recognize the key and chords of all audio material inside... and this must be spot on... but I can imagine that´s definetely coming...

Another part that will base on this "scale awareness" is a chord track but here as well the audio implementation must come before...

Over time I guess we´ll see the complete feature set of Studio One and Cubase in this regard...

Yes, I would also like to see a more direct way to "bounce in place" but the "workaround" is not that bad. In conjunction with the ability of resampling, it's just fine IMO.

And I use Wavosaur as an external audio-editor when needed. It loads fast, is uncluttered and brings a good amount of basic destructive editing features.
I think this whole discussion is about whining on a quite high level... the way Ableton does it is far from being unuseable and I tbh really like the BiP device on top of what Ableton offers as it allows me quickly to bounce/record multiple clips from different sources into one file... that´s far more important for me than having a little bit quicker method to bounce just a clip on the current channel

But what I really miss: an interface overhaul for Operator. Hoping for that to be happening since v10. I'm not asking for much, just the ability to expand the view to see all available envelopes at once. I'm not giving up that hope :)
Operator needs updating in so many ways, definitely. A refined user interface, full-on MPE, maybe even sidechain for using external sources as modulators (one can dream).
