I really don't know what is going on with UA these days, is it really that competition is that stiff?
This is a company that use to pride itself in supposedly making the best plugins there are, charging a premium because they were that good and then when they went on sale (yet still comparatively expensive to the competition) us UAD users would behave like these sales were manna sent from heaven.

also.. can I re-sell all my "old" UAD plugins without having any card with it?
I see a lot of ppl selling UAD plugins but that should not be possible?!?

Doesn't matter, it still works from reports. People have claimed this owning nothing but UA plugins they got free...

Can anyone confirm this? I a few UAD plugins: LA-2A collection, 1176 set, Fairchild. I might jump on this for the current price at Plugin Discounts.

UAD's authorization backend seems hopelessly inadequate and people seem to be able to buy literally whatever bundle path, regardless of any qualifications, and the plugins activate just fine. Who knows for how long it has worked or if it will continue, though. Seems like the thing they could pull the plug on at any moment, and yet - someone on Gearspace noted that, without being a prior owner, they bought the Complete 1 -> Complete 2 upgrade for $499, and now they have everything. I can't imagine that will go on forever. Any such attempt would be solidly at your own risk.

That said, UAD indeed does seem to be worth the current prices to me. I held off in the past due to much, much (much... much) higher prices, and prior to that the DSP requirement, but now that I have their Native offerings and have had a chance to use some in my tracking and mixing, pretty f'ing impressed. There are some absolutely stellar quality tools in this kit. Unbelievable discount and yet what's to stop it from going lower even still? I'd have thought there would be some guardrails on this process, but man, they are just DIVING for it.

I can confirm it works. I just bought the Signature bundle from Plugin Discounts without owning any bundles, and all the plugins show in my account now.

I can speak to what they have as Native plugins right now: they have Capitol Chambers, Hitsville Reverb Chambers, Lexicon 224 Digital Reverb, and Pure Plate Reverb.

I confirm I got the 140$ signature bundle owning the 50$-essential-edition crossgrade (whatever that is is not a bundle) plus individual plugins

The bad news is that the plugins I had already do not figure out as doubles in my collection, so it's as if I just "overwrote" them losing any right on them (and I cannot re-sell them). So basically I literally thre 330 bucks in the garbage in the past months.

Yet I got everything else now for 140 bucks (Thanks so much for the people pointing it out here

), which sort of sounds good, considering how much these bundles were priced in the past.
All in all, I'm happy that I got what I wanted without having to pay 330 bucks again, but I'm very pissed off about their stupid upgrade system and I hope I will never ever have to deal with it anymore

I didn’t own a single UA Plug in (not even the free one) and I got the signature bundle for $142 (even though it says its a bundle xgrade, no checks)

Now now! I too am a person, and I do not feel screwed, having bought yesterday.

Please give me a few weeks so they can sell Ultimate 12 at $99 and then I too will feel screwed.

Just a quick first impression- The UA Control thing was very easy, entered the number I got from PlugIn Discounts and all licences showed up in UA Control strait away- easy download and install (can click everything and walk away) so that's a good start!
