At least this time the description is somewhat toned down on superlatives, but still ChatGPT generated, unlike the Maselec where superlatives are over the top.

It is actually a lovely reverb
But how do you access the Hand-Tuned 8-Voice Modulation panel shown in the pictures on their site?

That's an internal tool. Not part of the plugin.aMUSEd wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 3:18 pm It is actually a lovely reverb

If it was actually part of the plugin I'd probably spring for it, a shame it's notFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 3:31 pmThat's an internal tool. Not part of the plugin.aMUSEd wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 3:18 pm It is actually a lovely reverb

The UX of the Savant reverbs are substandard and one of the main reasons I've deleted both and never purchased.jamcat wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 12:53 amIt's not just the buttons. More importantly it's the parameters and their layout.vitocorleone123 wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 12:46 amA 1:1 UI generally doesn’t make sense for software. The push buttons were a poor experience on the Savant.jamcat wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 12:28 am I will say that if they sound the same, I would opt for Savant, because using it should be pretty much a 1:1 experience to the Quantec QRS. It’s also nice that it’s less expensive, though ultimately I would choose on authenticity alone.
In my professional opinion as a UX professional for 25 years, it's very obvious that the Savant reverbs have a "poor" UX and more usability issues, whereas the UX of Relabs reverbs are "good" but still have some usability issues. Both suffer to differing degrees from adhering too closely to hardware in a software environment.

OK that's misleading, I did spring for it thinking it was part of it. I do like it and will keep it but I think that to me implies it's part of the plugin.Digivolt wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 3:55 pmIf it was actually part of the plugin I'd probably spring for it, a shame it's notFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 3:31 pmThat's an internal tool. Yes, that's why they changed the wording on that pic to mention this:aMUSEd wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 5:26 pm OK that's misleading, I did spring for it thinking it was part of it. I do like it and will keep it but I think that to me implies it's part of the plugin.

Sorry but I read that and still thought this was a hidden advanced panel, 'special tool' doesn't make it not part of the pluginbeely wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 5:56 pmYes, that's why they changed the wording on that pic to mention this:aMUSEd wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 5:26 pm OK that's misleading, I did spring for it thinking it was part of it. You don't need to apologise, it wasn't obvious, especially at first.

If you fancy a good reverb with a chorus built for extra modulation give Tai-Chi a look when Liquid Sonics do their BF salesaMUSEd wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 5:58 pmSorry but I read that and still thought this was a hidden advanced panel, 'special tool' doesn't make it not part of the pluginbeely wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 5:56 pmYes, that's why they changed the wording on that pic to mention this:aMUSEd wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 5:26 pm OK that's misleading, I did spring for it thinking it was part of it. I spent far too long clicking every pixel, going back and forth to the manual and the page trying to open the chorus ensemble window before I figured out that it didn't really exist.
I think it was a flub because they probably rushed this to release because of Savant - either the photo really wasn't supposed to be there or there will be access to the chorus ensemble at a later date (the GUI seems well designed for something consumers aren't supposed to see!) and it's just not ready. Or it will be an entirely new plugin using that GUI, maybe?

Yeah, though I'm not sure there'd be much gained by changing those settings. As it is, just the quantity of modulation provides a huge range of sonic character. I suppose speed would be handy.miloszz wrote: Sat Nov 18, 2023 7:07 pm I think it was a flub because they probably rushed this to release because of Savant - either the photo really wasn't supposed to be there or there will be access to the chorus ensemble at a later date (the GUI seems well designed for something consumers aren't supposed to see!) and it's just not ready. The more I play with this the closer to hitting buy I get. The way the source melds with the reverb sounds fantastic - PSP's 2445 and Relab's 480 were my kings of that before.
I guess the QRS was theoretically a more realistic room simulator than '80s Lexicons... but it's a real trashy dystopian techno room. I'm listening to it and thinking "man, the Machinedrum would sound crazy through this." (It's installed on my computer that's separate from any hardware until I buy.)
