I placed a software order with Guitar Centre four years ago and it took two days to receive the serial.
I assumed I'd missed it by then as it was Waves Gold for $42.50, so it was a surprise.

I read several of the reviews of GC (thanks for the link, AcrossTheSky!) - the one’s that I read were about customers’ in-store experiences - the kiloheart content that we’re buying is online, which is a different fulfillment spec. - and kilohearts is likely directly involved, because of special pricing.

I'd use paypal as payment for protecting yourself,
also, if it is a legit deal - it should not end too quickly + licenses should be issued shortly ..

Yeah, it smacks of a pricing cockup if only they were doing that offer and hadn’t heavily promoted it as an exclusive.

It's not the first or I doubt the last MF & GC will do price errors like this, I remember a few BF's back they had a deal on I think it was Softube summit audio grand channel for $29, i might be wrong on the specific product though, that everybody piled in on and eventually most got refunds 3 or 4 days later although some were lucky to get the keys

So these deals are great if you don't mind taking the risk that your money will be in limbo for a few days if they don't honour it and take their time refunding

I’ve never had a problem with GC - maybe knock on wood for that.

The way it might work, is that kilohearts sells GC ‘X’ number of licenses at a special price - once X is hit, GC’s deal is done. The great thing is that you’re just buying a serial, thats all - it’s the most basic sale that a company can make…it would take some real effort to screw that type of transaction up! Besides: kilohearts will likely help you out if GC does manage to drop the ball.

I just saw in the Text Only section (thanks @effie) that Phase Plant is on sale for $49 at Guitar Center's site.

Sh*t moves a hellalot faster online - if there’s a run: an online store can be out of whatever before the item’s page on their website reflects it - the lag might result in the online store continuing to sell something that’s gone.

I think the kilohearts deal was legit - GC simply ran out of the serials they had gotten cheaper from kilohearts

Yeah it is back to $99 now. I tried chatting with someone at GC and they said sorry.. but we don't see it here for that price....

But if you google "phase plant sale" you can see it, so I wasn't just seeing things
