well tell me how many software companies mackie bankrupt before you argue with me. btw im not trolling im just stating opinion.

I have a better idea, YOU tell us! ;-) I also heard people squawking about it once without any proof. There's only one that I can think of, and I personally don't know the full story behind it so I'm loathe to judge.

How much is it going to cost?? Thats my only question.

Happy holidays.

rpc,
First of all, I'm not arguing with you. You may take it that way, but I'm just being grumpy. I do, however want to see ANY form of proof, even a company name, that Mackie has bankrupt. Not because I don't believe you, but because you keep saying it without any proof, I'm finding it hard to try and believe you.

Plus, even if what you say is 100% true, how does that make you right? How does this become a bad marketing strategy. They're doing this to keep people like you happy by letting you know that there is something coming, and to stop worrying about it.

Now, I can't judge here, but you do claim to be a successful musician, or producer, or whatever. However, by looking at how many posts you have in the short time you've been here, and how many of them are totally useless, I can't imagine you're getting anything done. So stop worrying about T2, and just realize that your griping won't bring it any sooner, and go make some music. It'll do you some good.

I mean no offense to you by my posts. Just trying to tell you that you've rubbed MANY people the wrong way. It doesn't have to be that way. Now, let's get over this and just make some freakin music......

OH, WAIT A MINUTE..........I hear something on my roof! Just a second, I'll be right back...........(cocks the shotgun)...............I think someone is trying to get in my house. Good thing I threw an extra log on the fireplace tonight. It sure is cold out there! Hey...Ly.ylyl..lflaoewfjlasduflaksjdflBANG.............
Um....kids......if the space beneath your Christmas tree is barren tomorrow, I'm sorry. Santa had an emergency and had to go home. Cheers!

If he didn't leave me my large diaphragm condenser mic, I'm coming after you!

Lucky for you(and me), I found his bag. Was it the Neuman that you wanted? I think I see a brand new SSL mixing console! It's amazing the method of compression that Santa uses to fit all this on his virtual sleigh. And hey, isn't this a copy of Tracktion Tw.........oh, never mind. It's just a copy of the movie "Groundhog Day."

LM, can you accept UPS same night delivery?

Should be sooner. But I can't promise anything.

I rather hope that if they bundle all those Acuma plugins they have on the Mackie site with Tracktion that they offer a cheaper version without them as I have no interest in paying a lot extra just for a bundle of plugins I don't want or need. I never really saw the point of bundling Tracktion with any plugins and even why it has a sampler built in tbh - to me it's core strength and the reason I bought it is it's intuitive sequencing and the lack of bloat and complications like mixers and busses etc.

I'm glad T2 is near (ehm, kind of).

One thing I hope they did this time, is plugin organizer (inside T), I almost never use the inbuilt fx (except pitch shifter on midi tracks) and I've never used T's sampler.

So, I hope either it's gonna be much better sampler or none at all.

Just a comment here while I wait for my wife to wake up for Christmas (yes, still early morning here)...about Mackie releasing info the way they do.

Having worked inhouse at a publishing company, I can tell you that the people at Mackie whose job it is to gather statistics such as number of hits on the T2 site are very happy right now. And that's important. Going to work every day, it's fun to be able to tell the committee and the company president and your water cooler mates that your product is causing a stir. If nothing else, the T2 website is generating excitement and "bragging rights" in at least one office at Mackie and the employees thereof.

really? cause I just thought that just maybe the entire world was underestimating this supergenius ron. oh, by the way ron, what were the names of these bankrupted companies, cause we're all waiting with baited breath on your imminent marketing wisdom and industry knowhow to shine down from on high. or maybe it's just sarcasm. I don't know, but everyone else here is here to help each other and all you can do is call mackie stupid. I for one am not out to bite the hand that feeds me. so shut up.

I can see why some people would feel that way, but I guess I'm the opposite. I don't already have a bunch of those plug-ins, so I don't mind paying a -bit- extra. What I suspect has happened, though, is that the Acuma line did NOT take off, and this is a way to consolidate their losses. The technology is no longer wasted if it can be used to sell another product. As such, I doubt that including Acuma will be a factor at all in any price increases.

The T sampler is actually quite useful for many things! I didn't think it was until recently when I realized how useful it can be. Obvious limitations exist (VERY obvious), but its simple beauty has been underestimated, I feel.

I also use the native hi-/lo-pass filter ALL the time. It's simple and dirty. The native level/panning plug also counts as an "effect" since it can be put into a rack and you can do neato stuff with it.

I haven't used the EQ much, and I imagine there's better out there.

Too right!

Not much for free.. I rather like T's EQ, but these days I tend to use my own Dynamic EQ on everything. :D

The delay is also useful (esp in racks combined with other filters) and the phaser rocks IMO: I love the way Jules has set up tempo-sync for these effects.. 8)
