Here's a silly question: Is there any difference in using reverbshaper vs simply putting volume shaper before and after a send reverb? You can't modulate the reverb decay or size can you?

You can modulate the "Send" to the reverb, and the reverb volume.
You can't modulate decay, size, etc.
So I assume you are right, using volume shaper before and after send to a reverb bus is essentially the same.

Biggest argument for reverbshaper probably is ease of use, shipped reverb IRs, and features like the clear tale & gated reverb that play well with the modulation.

That's right regarding the LFOs. And if you want to use the envelope follower (for ducking vocals for example) you require some more setup, but you can do it: Route the dry signal into ShaperBox' sidechain input (because you want to use the dry and not the wet signal for ducking), and set up the Compressor in ShaperBox to use sidechain input. However note that the compressor sounds different to the envelope follower in ReverbShaper, and most of the times the sound of the envelope follower in ReverbShaper is more suitable for reverb.

We just released a v3.4.1 update for ShaperBox! First, ShaperBox memory usage has been reduced, and selections are now restored when using undo/redo.

For ReverbShaper, the impulse response waveform display now updates in real time when adjusting Size. And we've tweaked the way the Bands filter works on reverb: your adjustments are now heard immediately, with no latency.

Bought the Reverb module yesterday experimented with it a lot. i'm sure i will get a lot of use out of it. I have experimented with techno rumbles really easy to dial up a classic rubmle situation but i'm currently experementing by adding other modules to creating something more unique. any ideas ?
