... you scroll through your Pluginboutique-account and find stuff you never knew you bought it (well, in fact, you simply forgot about it).

P.S. But there's not a single reverb in the cupboard. Maybe that's why I still feel incomplete.

I saw some guy's post GS today where he did that. Went to go order something on the BF sale only to discover he had already ordered it on a BF sale 3 years back. :hihi:

Pffft, that’s nothing. Come talk to us when you start doing that with hardware. :hihi:

you can only be gassed if you have tons of cash
me i actually have to save up
my last purchase was a zoom audio recorder almost a decade ago
bought it offline
took me a while to save up 400+ dollars
and i ended up not using the effing thing, it just sits there
software is where it's at and i get by with freeware
once i master songwriting (i wish) i might care about better gear
and acquire them, somehow

Smart. Best to only add gear when you have a reason for it. I have a similar approach and mindset, although I'm not as restrictive for this simple reason: certain pieces of gear can challenge and alter your approach to composition, so occasionally loosening up to experiment can be money well spent, even if it only teaches you how you don't want to work.

me smart?
i'm so confused
just the other day, i was informed that i prolifically deprive myself
of oxygen, like dennis hopper in that movie
oh wait i'm not even sure about that

I idiotically bought EWQL RA twice. I can't remember specifically how it happened but it did. I had disposable income at the time, which doesn't happen too frequently. I splurged on Saturday at NI, I was buzzed by more than one new feature of GR 7 (72 USD) and earlier while I was staring at Kontakt 7.7 I had axmodently clicked on a picture in the 'buy' quadrant of the K7 GUI or I thought "low end strings" was something in the 'character' list or like that, in the new interface. So I was there pulling the trigger on GR and checked out the demo walkthrough video of Low End Strings. $49. I'll be loading it first for the next project, though. Been a long time since I bought something I have no specific use for. This is not a "need" buy but I'll use it.

No GAS here.. :D

Just because ALL of my Facebook friends are synth manufacturers or music gear companies, my VST list looks like a New York phone book, I have one table entirely covered in hardware synths, and I could literally use a different MIDI controller every day of the week doesn't mean I get GAS!

OR DOES IT?!?!?! :help:

Thankfully, my GAS has significantly diminished over the last couple of years... I have everything, except talent and skills. ;)

My GAS for guitars is done. With da Surfybear, I'm in pig's heaven. Real spring reverb FTW.

I don't have GAS! In fact, I'm not going to buy any more music hardware...

At least Plugin Boutique alert account holders before they purchase that second copy (or third even😞...)! A huge orange page head banner appears in the cart, before even hitting checkout, apparently.
Being a careful shopper myself, never been in this situation, of course🙄.

"Frank Booth" was getting off on oxygen, not depriving himself.

Post

so, like, i did a little bit of googling and...

it seems that david lynch, the writer and director of that movie,
originally intended that gas to be helium
but dennis hopper, a veteran of drug use, suggested that
frank booth should be inhaling amyl nitrate instead,
and david lynch okayed the suggestion

too lazy to do anymore googling now but...
i am wondering about two things:

1. does oxygen deprivation help sex and creativity?
some people might have stumbled into that?
people like robin williams and michael hutchence?

2. did the band suede get influenced by that movie when
they made this song:
