No dual mono for mWaveshaper?

Maybe I'm missing something.

I see what looks like over a dozen different stereo, mid-side, left only, etc modes, but no dual mono. Many of the listed modes would seem like esoteric choices, but the ability to unlink L and R channels is a basic feature included on many plugs.

Is this because the waveshaper in "stereo" mode acts as if it is dual mono anyway since the input shape determines the output shape, and the waveform on either side either is or is not being affected by the shaping at any given moment?

For instance, if you use it as a clipper to do a hard chop of everything above -3db, and only the Left input goes over -3db, is the stereo vs dual mono thing a distinction without a difference since only the left side would have been affected anyway? (right side unaffected while left side is hard clipped to -3 just like it would be in dual mono)

Since I always use limiters with stereo unlinked, I'm just wondering if there is a potential difference in Bitwig to splitting the L and R channels and putting separate instances of mWaveshaper vs a single "stereo" instance.

Nope, no difference. Channels are independent in waveshapers.
