VoosteQ is a lot of flash, but they sound as poorly maintained as they look. If your vintage Neve preamps sounded that fuzzy, you’d send them off for repairs.

Yes. But there’s something I don’t like about it, regardless. I think it must have automatic gain compensation. The more you turn it up, the fuzzier it gets, but it never grows any balls. It doesn’t start punching through more. Instead it does the opposite. It responds quite different than the Neve preamps from UAD, NoiseAsh, Lindell Audio, or IK.
