I'm seeing some big sample bundles on sale, but am not super familiar with that landscape due to oversaturation and differing priorities.

Does anyone recommend one that is not mainly a) pre-mapped instruments b) drum one-shots c) construction kits d) hyper-loud synth loops? Basically I'm looking for interesting sampler fodder.

Can anyone recommend a deal on a sample pack of one-shot samples for use as drums/percussion (Atlas, Battery)?
Any usable sound, preferably not 606/808/909-like (I have plugins for that).

Samples From Mars usually have good deals on "all the drums", it hasn't quite gone live for this year yet. While that does include 606/808/909 some of my favourites are 626, 707 and DMX which are a bit more acoustic-sounding (but also very 80s compressed synthwave...)

There's also Goldbaby, they have some good demo videos for the bundles.

Ok. I'll be patient then. I would buy it for around $70.

I've kept an eye on Sample for a while, too, and hoped to get it in the ~$50-60 range.

The problem at the moment is that they only recently released a large update to v2. I believe that bumped the base price (from $99), and they also took Sample off the rent-to-own program at Splice (which was another option).

So it may be unlikely to see large discounts again for a while, and possibly Serato's changed their strategy for pricing altogether.
