MODULATORS. Trigg envelope w. MIDI. Note Max no function?

I have tried using MIDI to trigg envelope in the modulator for various Melda plug-in's, but I cant get the 'Note Max' to filter out notes. 'Note Min' woks as intended, but 'Note max' has no effect at all regardless of setting. Am I missing out on something fundamental, or is it a bug someone else has experienced?
