you got super lucky, I am getting weird error messages, no license found, etc.hurricaneaudiolab wrote: Fri Nov 24, 2023 8:09 pm Due to all the traffic, I waited until just now to upgrade. It's before 2pm here in the US. Upgraded on the Vengeance site. Was pretty simple, although I did have to hit refresh a few times to get in. Transaction went through pretty quickly, with my upgrade serial delivered and presented on-screen immediately. Registered the new upgrade serial in my account. Had to hit refresh a few times before it went through. Manually downloaded the Factory 2 expansion. Opened up Avenger 2, activated it by pasting my system ID in the "offline Activation" section on the website. Took a few tries to get that to go through, but it eventually did. Keyfile generated quickly. Didn't realize I had to re-download the Factory 1 expansion again. I don't know if that was just me or what, but there were several Factory 2 presets that had missing samples which referenced the Factory 1 exp. Downloaded the Factory expansion and imported - missing samples fixed. Not using the V-Manager for any of this, although I did try it, got some weird code, just kept trying and hitting "refresh" until the screen populated. Eventually worked.
I'd say this entire process took around 15 minutes. Avenger 2 is up and running.

Glad to know I'm not alone. Did you also upgrade to 2.0 and then tried to redeem Pick 5 afterwards? Looks like the Pick 5 is not linked to "VPS Avenger2" in the backend.woodsdenis wrote: Fri Nov 24, 2023 8:42 pm It would be nice if the Pick5 bug was fixed. Worth the upgrade, as above took a few refreshes to get it going.

Does it do away with the ‘no licence found if not used in a month’ scenario??
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Is it possible to round-robin/random midi notes to different oscillators/samples? Say for example I have osc 1 with a saw wave and osc 2 with a sample and I play a chord, some notes will play the saw wave and some the sample. Would like to know if there is a way. Thanks!

Is Pluginboutique the only third party outlet carrying Avenger 2 upgrade?
Thomann has Avenger 2 for $136 but not the upgrade (yet).

Had half an hour to have an initial play. Spectral is really fun - granular-like but different and less over-familiar to my ears. The factory content samples have some great jumping off points.
This would take years to master, but what I like with Avenger is once you have the concepts it's pretty easy to experiment. It's always been a fun synth to program, not just cycle through the presets. Good job too, I think the new presets are too EDM-focused and don't really give a broad enough view of what this thing is capable of. Get stuck in.
(That said, a future cinematic expansion with all the v2 features would be verrrry interesting).

Oh, and speaking of expansions - Manuel, time for a World Music expansion imo. Getting some well sampled instruments from around the globe and putting them through all Avenger can do for sound design would be fantastic.

After a couple of hours testing and playing;
issues;
-multiple crashes when adding random fx to the send rack
-random crashes with vst2 and vst3 variants in multiple DAW's
-'random square' and 'random tri' are broken in the LFO section when using 'host' (prob. a FL Studio issue, although the fixed buffer size options didn't fix it unfort.)
-sudden FPS drops and high CPU usage when (randomly) viewing the 'spectral section' (Windows 11, x64). Seems random and building after time, almost like a memory leak
-error message in the routing screen of the Trig section
-when loading up an fx type, one needs first to move the gain knob of that particular fx type in order to get it activated
