I am so pissed off...
Any discount that I was interested in did not show up on black Friday.
- Cable guys did not give any special discount on the total bundle.
- Audio thing did not any special discounts on any bundle (some of them are actually more expensive than buying plugins individually)
- Steve Slate Audio VSX gave a discount on the Platinum pack ONLY for new customers but not on the upgrade. Instead, they removed the studio bundle that is the one I would have bought because it's half the price of the platinum

this Black Friday sux to me :bang:

upgrade on my post (as it may be useful to people that are interested in these things like me).

1) I was blind, Steven Slate did send me an email with the possibility to upgrading to PLATINUM bundle for half price ( code: BF-ESS-100 ) . I'm blind. I love this.

2) I wrote to Cableguys hoping for some special offer (at least 5% discount on the total bundle. I do need midishaper to get rid of Ableton automations.., and I like a lot the shaper and the new filter)

3) somehow hidden in pluginboutique there's Hainpack bundle at 170 instead of 199.
https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/ ... ach-Bundle
Thinking of getting it as I love Hainbach, so I'm gonna use Pluginboutique tokens to get some minimal discounts on single effects too.

God Particle is available for $79 ($119 regular) right now.

Has anyone used either of these plugins? They seem to be hot in the mastering world and I am seeing them in quite a few videos these days. Both sound great to me. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You don't believe in God . . . Particle? I've not tried it, but I read a bunch on a Gearspace thread about it: https://gearspace.com/board/product-alerts-older-than-2-months/1380736-jaycen-joshua-quot-god-particle-quot.html
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Read at GS that their copy protection is acting weird, having to re-authorize often etc. Not for that price :)

Btw: Arturia offers me FX Collection 4 for 69€ when they already offered it for 29€ a few months ago (have only the rotary plugin missing). Arturia has the most disappointing BF sale this year, not even the lowest prices of the year.

ATS wrote: Sat Nov 25, 2023 7:58 am I bought Arturia Collection 9 the other day but then realized that 10 is probably coming out soon. So sort of regret that
Maybe they'll have some kind of grace period.

It has this Uhe sound that's "warmer" (compared to Pigments or Thorn). Layout is different so it takes you to different sounds. Give the demo a try. A friend of mine who is not a producer was impressed by the sound of it
I've tried it and heard sound samples on youtube, but the sound doesn't seem to click with me. I feel as if the sound is compressed and thin whereas Dune 3 has a loud and wide sound. I have Diva and I think it sounds amazing.

Maybe I'm not doing something right with Hive 2 to get it sound better?

Post

Dirtgrain and dermage: Thanks guys. While the demo seems to be working fine here, I will pass on The God Particle for now.

I am more interested in Master Plan though, but even at 50% off, the price is a bit steep for me.

I use God Particle. For me it works some of the time in a pleasing way. I use it to give transients a finishing sheen and tweek the body of a track. I use it mostly on busses or tracks with a lot of transients. I am not using GP in it's intended way however. You'll have to try the demo to see if it resonates with the spectrals of your brain.

Thanks for your input. I did demo it briefly and found that it adds a nice sparkle to the tracks. $79 is not too bad a price, but in the grand scheme of things and the amount of use it may get, I am not sure if I should buy it.
