Acoustica has a really good noise detection & removal algo..

The only thing I miss is setting loop points, but there's a new version out which I haven't upgraded to yet (my DAW isn't online atm) which may have fixed that..

Acoustica or Goldwave I think are the main contenders

Go with Goldwave :D

Loads of features and has been around for ages as well. :)

Magix Audio Studio.

Audacity is shite unless you just want to do some simple tasks

I bought my brother Magix Music Maker for xmas...damn that thing is getting a nice feature set, including mastering effects and vocal tuning. Audio Studio (which MM is based on) now has batch processing and freeze tracks also.

Another vote for Acoustica. Version 3.2 seems to deal with some of the stability-issues and adds region-markers.
