I get the feeling that Avenger really isn't meant for expressive play, performance, or composition. It seems intent on being an ITB EDM workstation disguised as a plugin. I know that has an audience, but composers are not that audience.
So since I'm just not their target audience, I'm not going to denigrate them for this decision. As for me, a do-everything synth that lacks polyAT, much less MPE, is not remotely interesting unless it is offering something that cannot be found anywhere else. And I'm not seeing anything in this update that can't be found elsewhere.
No, Avenger is for sure not for edm only, even if it's promoted mostly to be edm&co.
If you don't want to take the time to create your own presets, well, maybe not for you, even if you don't want to create your own presets, there are more than enough presets for composing.
One thing I don't really like is the way Avenger is presented (Bartek (yes, he is indeed funny) or simetimes Vengeance or that crazy synth guy) , so people might think it's a solo entertainer Casio keyboard, just hit one key and a complete song starts.
But it's way more than that. And I also use Avenger's internal Aftertouch to create my presets and you can play it real funky
