BBFG# wrote: Sat Nov 25, 2023 9:33 am Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, but can't get the patches loaded into it. Manual says it's a simple drag and drop to the front panel but that's not resulting in anything but a blank browser and the same default sound. What am I missing here?
Anyone?
To be honest I've never heard of that way of importing presets. I just put the folder of .fxp files into the correct file path. On PC it's Program Files > GForce > impOSCar2 > Patches > Instrument

P.S. You can find some extra patches in my sig, which are more up-to-date than the ones I have on the GForce site.
Forgot to say I tried that too with same result. I feel I'm missing one little detail here and just not seeing it. Is there a point to path/rescan or something that needs to be done in the synth settings?

I just tried adding a folder of .fxp presets into the path I described and I didn't even have to reload the instrument to see them (although I would always advise doing that anyway). No rescan required - I don't even think it has rescan tbh.

Maybe check the .sup file in GForce > impOSCar2 > Support - open it in a text editor to see the file paths.

Also if you click on the top right of the GUI where the name is, you should see the path where it says, ".sup file settings" (but it can't be edited from there)

You can get Imposcar 2 for free with the latest issue of computer music magazine (the issue costs around 5.99€)

I tried reinstalling to see if there was something I was missing. No luck with that, so I deleted all folder, file and registry keys, rebooted and did a fresh install. It all works great now. Not sure what happened, but I'm under the belief it was something I did or didn't do the first go-around and trying to reinstall over it would not correct it. Thanks for all your help.
